Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Dead Spirits
- Is a Custom Story I made completely alone, wich is Released as of August 17, 2012.
This was my very first Custom Story, I hope you rate it fairly. :)
The Story:
Bernard Cornell, the man who owns the Cornell Resident.
The Cornell Resident has been inherited through many generations.
But it hides many unpleasant secrets.
Your friend, Harry, got to
live at the Cornell Resident for his study. But why he didn't choose
the old usual library you don't know.
Your Cousin Drake also lives there for his study...
Why would people study at a Resident? Is there much knowledge? Or do they provide costless meals?
Your friend Harry seems to be an Assistant to Bernard Cornell.
It seems they are testing a drink on innocent humans.
Will you ever find out whats going on?
What happend before the mod starts?:
You live at the Cornell Resident, with your cousin Drake, you have- or more rightly said: HAD a friend named Harry who lived as a guest in the Resident.
When you go to your friend's room, He's not there. When you seek Cornell, He's not there.
You don't seem to find anyone.
You remember something Harry said about a drink, a drink that would cure your sanity loss, you need to find that drink.
Maybe your just seeing things, Or is everyone really dead?

- Medium-Hard puzzle solving skillz

First of all I would like to thank everyone who played this Custom Story once again.
I have received alot of good feedback telling me what needs to be improved and so on.
I would like to tell you all that I am currently working on another Custom Story.
This Custom Story will be the SEQUEL to Dead Spirits!
Oh, and the sequel will be divided into 2 Chapters. (Chapter 1 made in The Dark Descent, and Chapter 2 made in A Machine For Pigs.)
For some people the Story in Dead Spirits was not clear enough and got off track a bit, And yes it did.
I have had a hard time re-thinking the Story before release, So it was a little rushed.
But in the sequel there will be clearer visions on the Story and the actual meaning of progressing.
But this is all I will say. ;)
I have learned alot about creating Custom Stories so there will be better scripting on my upcoming projects, aswell as better level design, better details and very importantly more testers.
And as you may know A Machine For Pigs is getting closer and I will need to learn a bit there too.

Well I can't really say that's a glitch made by me, it's an engine-wise glitch that makes entities stuck in walls or other static objects if there's 2 really close to each other, thanks for reporting it though.

hmm. nicely done in some places, i liked the ideas of the fence climbing, and some others, but the environment wasn't so good in many rooms, i think you can improve it. by the way, it was fun to play 7/10, keep it up :)
i have a question, if i download the custom story using desura, will it be updated with the latest updates? like this CS has now version 1.2 released, will i have to download the custom story and THEN update manually or does it update automatically?
Good question, since I personally don't use Desura much i have no idea, perhaps it's a better idea to install manually in this case, just to be 100% sure it's the right version.
