Dead Frontier: Source is a full recreation of the Fort Pastor area in the popular MMORPG Dead Frontier in the Source Engine. Along with this recreation you'll experience never before seen area's and weapons, including the weapons already found in the game now and be able to play a full single-player story line with custom animations, textures, models, and more.
The single-player aspect of the game will dive into the less explained past of Dead Frontier, uncovering the story of the mutant-zombie creating N4 virus, Various clan Easter eggs, the creation of the advanced zombies, the world outside of fairview, and much much more.

I don't have a specific release date for you guys yet (as this is a rather new project and I'm working by myself at the moment), however I will try to make updates every few days and keep active in the comments section. Thanks for all your support!

Planned:

-Custom inventory system (Similar to Cry Of Fear)
-Over 100 Different weapons, all with custom damage tables
-20+ Different variations of enemies not including 4 Terrifying bosses
-New vehicles and forms of transport
-Expansive story-line with multiple endings depending on the route you take
-Rewritten AI system (They now take cover if sh*t comes their way)
-Post-Apocalyptic Zombie ridden city
-64 Player Instance Multi-Player
-Much more

Also, if you'd like to help out with this mod please contact me. I need concept artists and good mappers. Basically anyone with good experience in the source engine.

Currently the team for Dead Frontier: Source is:
- Videowarrior (Lead Developer)
- HollyWood3000 (Lead Beta Tester)

Hey sorry about the lack of updates everyone, I've been super busy with Dead Frontier: Source ever since I graduated and I'm just now getting around to posting some updates, there's still a lot that needs to be done but here's a list of things I've finished porting/hexing (Most of the weapons are done, but they need serious fixes such as new textures and higher detail).

Zombies:
- Mother Static Model
- Titan Static Model
- Tendril Static Model
- Wraith Static Model
- Leaper Static Model
- Brute Static Model
- Siren Static Model
- Bone Static Model
- Reaper

Weapons:
- Greyhawk 55
- VLock XD11
- Spiker
- Marksman G8
- Painshot 10
- XLGunner-8
- GAU-19 (Minigun)
- Vulcan
- Immolator AD
- Ripsaw G12
- Buzzblade RN8

Sounds:
- Explosive (Incomplete)
- Fire
- Zombie Sounds

I've started working on the new areas in Dead Frontier: Source including a subway system, Secronom, and the outposts. I had to step back on fort pastor due to issues that the original map had.

I'd still love to hear from you guys, give me your ideas and I'll try my best to make them real!

Yes there will be selective beta testing, I'm going to try to keep things pretty covered up though so nothing is spoiled for the non-beta testers.

I'm hoping everything's wrapped up and ready to go within a year, but it could be longer if I run into unexpected snags.

I've actually been looking at both DayZ and STALKER for inspiration, so you might see some familiar concepts in the final product :P

Dude, if you can get this up and running it could become even more popular than DF itself, people have already been begging AdminPwn to make the game an FPS and a downloadable version. And your doing exactly what most people playing the game are wanting, this has too much potential for words lol.
