Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green is a Survival/Horror first person shooter from Brainbox Games. The game was released in October 2005, about the same time as the movie, Land of the Dead. It generally received poor reviews and was entirely broken.

Dead Epidemic changes all of this.

You play the role of Sgt. John Gates. You were sent to stop a terrorist organization by the name of "C.O.I.L", but everything goes wrong once you find your team slaughtered. One of your team has been poisoned by an unknown virus, and you have taken him back to civilization, where he died.

Problem was... he didn't stay dead.

It has been one month since the outbreak has occurred, and you have been stationed at a run down military base. There is no cure, and the hopes of finding one is very small amongst the remaining survivors. You have just gotten word that Dr. Necro, the man responsible for C.O.I.L, has just been found on a remote island of 'Queensport'. It is up to you and your new team to hunt down this madman and stop him from enhancing the virus. But on your way to Queensport, your transport helicopter gets shot down by Necro's militia, leaving you stranded in the middle of the country.

Dead Epidemic features a number of brutal weaponry to defend yourself with, ranging from the Spas-12 shotgun, Glock 17, M4, and even a homemade Flamethrower. All weapons are different in that they have some sort of secondary attachment, such as flashlights, brass knuckles, and a M203 grenade launcher. If you feel like one is not enough, you can dual most pistols and sub-machine guns in the game.

Well maybe it's not what we had in mind for the original release, but it's better than nothing. This version only includes the campaign mode. I tried to finish up survival, but it was going to take a lot longer than I expected, and my time is very limited these days. I'd really like to release an expansion sometime in the future, that could contain things such as the Flamethrower, G-36, Survival mode, melee weapons, or even multiplayer. These were all planned to be released with the campaign mode, but they're far from finished.

Here's the system requirements, also located in the ReadMe file.

  • ================================================================

Basically, if you could run Land of the Dead, you can run Dead Epidemic.

I would really like to thank everyone for making this possible. I wish I had the time to finish the unreleased features I mentioned above, as they would make the game much more enjoyable.

If you come across any bugs, or have any issues installing/running the game, please make a post in our bug report thread on Resurrection-Studios.

Nice one on remaking the physics, CJ. In the original LOTD game, when you shoot the zombies they will fly off after 1 or 3 shots with the rifle or any other gun weapons, but in this game it just collapse into a heap of dead body on the floor.

Anyway, both of the games are super nice!

Do you plan on making new MP verus gametypes? Heres some ideas for Veruses MP:

1) Grab the Bag

Like CTF but there is one bag. This is both team and FFA. Players try to grab the bag and hold it for an alotted amount of time. Players can not use weapons with it and you hold it up to your chest. Think oddball from halo.

2) Infection

One player starts out infected and starts to turn and the begining of the match. It does not say who but if you pay attion you can tell. Once he turns the player must go around and kill all the human players. When you get hit or killed by the Zed player you are infected. You then turn to the Zed team. Humans win if 1 or more humans are alive at the end of the time limit. Zeds win if all humans are killed

3) Assain

One player is the "assain". He has 300 health and is FAST. He is dressed in black like a ninja. This is team based (red Vs blue Vs Assain) and FFA based (Player Vs Player Vs Assain). Players who arn't the "Ninja" fight like a normal Deathmatch game. But the "ninja" is a foot. You can talk to the ninja and make deals with him or he can play by himself. The ninja scores same as everybody else. But be aware the Zeds are still around.

Well that is it for now. What ya think?

Almost everything was perfect except for few bug moments during maps and I wasn't too happy about the voice acting but other then that this was truely fun.
