DEAD CRY is a Total Conversion Singleplayer Mod playable through the Far Cry 3 Map Editor after installing mod and map files. The campaign will consist of multiple singleplayer missions very much inspired by games like Left4Dead, but with a Far Cry twist to them. The maps are all built from the ground up using assets at hand. Dead Cry will not merely be a bunch of maps or a mod alone though. It's as close to a completely new game as you can get. The campaign will include an immersive soundtrack, cinematic cutscenes, custom sound effects and voiceover work. Dead Cry is set to be released around Q3 2014 and is currently in Open Beta. You'll find trailers and gameplay down below. This page will be updated regularly.

After a lot of conversions, unpacks and edits, we've finally disabled the HUD, detection indicators and more...

Many of you had already suggested it. And now we've succeeded. We've completely disabled the heads-up display, minimap, detection indicators, crosshairs and changed a lot of the default graphical settings. I could not have done this without the help of Ziggy, otherwise known as dziggy, who suggested me to manually modify the XBT texture files dictating what the HUD looks like.

Converting the XBT files into a DDS format allows me to change all onscreen elements like the minimap and health indicator. So without further ado, I'd like to share the list of features currently implemented in the modified common and XML files. These will be part of the Open Beta on March 1. The Beta will also come with a lightweight third-party application allowing you to toggle the editor into fullscreen mode, which was not possible before.

Just follow the signs sir, to your left, 18A.Just follow the signs sir, to your left, 18A.
