DEAD CRY is a Total Conversion Singleplayer Mod playable through the Far Cry 3 Map Editor after installing mod and map files. The campaign will consist of multiple singleplayer missions very much inspired by games like Left4Dead, but with a Far Cry twist to them. The maps are all built from the ground up using assets at hand. Dead Cry will not merely be a bunch of maps or a mod alone though. It's as close to a completely new game as you can get. The campaign will include an immersive soundtrack, cinematic cutscenes, custom sound effects and voiceover work. Dead Cry is set to be released around Q3 2014 and is currently in Open Beta. Crosshairs, tagging, detection and hit indicators are now disabled. No more realism defying tricks to help you out. Just you and whatever weapon you can muster.
Yes! but players can just re-enable it. =/
That's true, but let's face it. If players want to spawn an rpg and machine gun and play on invincible they can do that too. I don't mind people changing things, isn't that what modding is about?
