Dead Before Dawn features Crossroads Mall as a replica of the mall in the movie, Dawn of the Dead. Originally created for the HL2 Mod, No More Room in Hell but has since been undergoing major changes to be ported to Valve's Left 4 Dead.

So we are back with some more podcasting Left 4 Deadness. This week we are breaking into a new style of doing Maps, we're doing them video style. We found that doing reviews as purley audio was not really any good at truly justifying the map without playing it. So we decided that it was time that we moved into making this something for you to watch whilst eating your breakfast. Another good reason for this is that some people listen to the podcast just for the map and they usually don't listen to the whole podcast because they cannot be bothered to wait for it.
Once again some things go bad with audio, there was some problems with North Surrey which was sent in my Korean Thug, there is some very strange but with Audacity that we cannot seem to fix and get the audio back for that. And we would also like to appologise to Airon who provided us with some help cleaning up the audio and went it came to actually attempting to sort it out we ran out of time to ask questions before being late with podcast releases. I will be sending a bunch of questions to him when i get a chance about sorting out the audio properly.

Hello all,
I'm really hoping this mod gets released regardless of the accusatory comments. The bottom line is that ever since sitting around on the summer weekends as a kid and watching zombie movies, we all have to admit that DOTD (original)(and remake) was one of the favorites. I always used to put myself in the survivors situation wondering how I could have done it better.
Even though it's only the scenery around us that changes it would still be fun to face the hordes of zombies charging towards the mall.
Keep up the good work and I don't care how it gets released as long as it does. Many of us are diligently anticipating this map.

Let me put you in your place real quick.
Even though, the maps and textures you see in our campaign were created for NMRiH, doesn't mean that when we ported it over to L4D, all those hours (years) of work was canceled. It still took the same amount of hours (years) to do all of that.
In regards to your comment about the prizes, how would be be unable to use any of the prizes except the Engine License?
About the Engine license, you should be happy to hear that we have decided to give the license to another mod team as we will not be using it. We thought about creating our own game with the engine license, but decided that other mod teams also deserved a little something.
Your comments and those of many other biased users here, is really making it difficult to choose a mod team that deserves and will use this Engine License.

The only problem I know with the fake one is that it have some problemos with the texture... =)
