D-Day: Normandy is a World War 2 action shooting game created by Vipersoft and improved by other volunteers.

D-Day: Normandy is based upon the Quake2 engine, but includes new maps, player models, and a whole new style of game play.

D-Day: Normandy is a team-based game where Allies (USA/British/Russians/Polish) battle against the enemy Axis (German and Japanese) on different maps set across the world with different climates and different terrains.

D-Day can only be played with an Internet connection. Any computer made since the year 2000 should be able to play D-Day well. You do not require an advanced 3-D graphics card.

Teams win a game after either...
Collecting enough points (from taking or destroying objectives)
Killing enough enemy troops
The amount of points or kills to win a game depends on which map (level) you are playing.
All maps all have their own objective screen like shown here:

The most basic distribution of D-Day comes with 5 official maps, but since D-Day was released, hundreds of new maps have been made and released by the D-Day community. Besides independent single maps and campaigns, campaigns have been released with the expansion packs that allow players to simulate soldiers of additional nations.

-VERY IMPORTANT-

Be sure to change your player ID to something other than NewDDayGuy or newbie. The servers has disable people from using this name. To change your name, simply type ~ for the console and type "name (your player name" for example type "name kvaki" without the quotation marks.
Or you can edit your config.cfg with notepad in your C:/quak2/dday folder.
