Description
As the merciless hosts of the Dark Lord covers Middle-earth in shadow, and His personal legion encircle the accursed stronghold of Imladris, out of the forest High king Gil-galad march up to the rescue, and strikes at his arch enemy.
The Eldar of Lindon divulge, even in the hour of Sauron's arrogant assumption of easy victories, why in Mordor 'dread' is spelled 'Noldor'.
To new and old followers alike; little sneak peak of a work in progress test-play, of what may randomly occur in the great war of the Second Age.
That's a very big army! O_O
It's a world of pain (as the enemy host gleams in brazen armours...) haha!
But it shall be said, for the record, that it is late game, but also that DCI do not suffer from from the stack spam issue seen in some mods, we've been careful to avoid that.
The loser in a battle like this will face a notable dent in his military strength, as we want big battles to be important and tense, not a matter of grinding; dare to argue we've managed so far ^^
That...makes me happy on so many levels. I keep burning out in my LPs because of the late game grind.
Our own conclusions from campaigns through the years too, so it's been a primary objective with this mod.
For that sake I developed a brand new balance for the game that seems to work quite fine; it concerns overall economy, recruitment pools, recruitment costs and upkeeps, in conjunction with a new battle system for stats and settings on the battlefield. :)
The great treasury seen is much due to a recent Invasion granting free upkeep, can be added, because fielding armies is overall a costly buisness hehe.
And so it was that the fate of the elves would be decided in the valley of Imladris.
