This is a T.C for MAX PAYNE 1 that I'm working on that's based on the 1978 Zombie Horror classic DAWN OF THE DEAD. I'm trying to stick to the movie as closely as the MP1 engine will allow me & I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for refferance. This T.C has the same story, weapons, characters, music & green skinned zombies as the original movie, & just like the movie you have to shoot the zombies in the head to kill them. Also any weapons that became avalible to characters in the movie will also become avalible to them in this T.C & at the same time & places in the plot.

* Also: A little while ago I was contacted by great gaming review site called Pariahs Guild, who approached me to do an interview for them to give some more indepth background info on my mod for their readers. Unfortunately the news item that contained the link to this interview never made it to the main news page of this site, so a lot of followers of my mod never got to read it.
So if you were unfortunate enough to miss this interview the first time around, you can read it now by clicking on the following link......Enjoy ;)

impressive as always shame i only have max payne 2
You should release a teaser/trailer on Halloween next week ;)
Max Payne's cheap enough to buy these days, if only just to play this mod when it's finished, as you can pick up a copy usually in the 3 for 1 section ...... ;)
I don't know about next week, but i'll certainly be doing a teaser trailer in preparation for the annual mod awards next month, as I wasn't able to do one last year as I didn't have near enough material to work from ...... ;)
The mod is looking like it would be a good one. Keep up the good work. A fair amount of us zombie fanatics are looking forward to seeing, and playing this mod when you feel enough of it is done to release it.
But don't rush it ( as always )
I can't wait! Keep it coming!
Even though Max Payne is now several years old, this mod still has potential to feel new. Max Payne 1 feels better than Max Payne 2 for these kinds of mods.
It sure looks amazing. Great job Halloween4, If it lives up to the expectations, this will be my vote for the mod of the year when it is released :)
Thanks dannee for & you other guys for your kind comments,
but I just have to say something about people constantly going on about how old the MAX PAYNE game engine ( MaxED), is.
For a start people are still making mods using the Half Life 1 engine & MaxED is 3 years younger than that engine, & it is far superior to that engine.
The Half Life1 engine is very basic when you compare it to MaxED, & in fact you can do most anything you want with the MaxED, if you know how, and it stands up well to the modern engines of today.
Perhaps the mistake people are making here, is that because MaxED is only 3 years younger then the Half Life1, they think that it has only got the same abillities, & it's just not the case. You've got to remember that the first MAX PAYNE game change the face of gamming with it's advance engine at that time, just to give you a clue, MAX PAYNE was the first game to give you slowmotion gun play, which features in most games now, but people soon forget. In fact, I can safely say that the, MAX PAYNE game engine is closer to Half Life 2's game engine then Half Life1, all be it a little way off.
Anyway, a good mod should not be about what engine you've made it on, but how enjoyable it is to play, after all who cares weither a new mods been made on the latest game engine if the mod it's self just sucks.
I think that modders have a very blinkered view when it comes to game engines, which is unhealthy & just down right stupid, after all do they go into a gamming shop to buy a game that they have been after & demand to know what engine its been made on first, I think not, it just crazy talk.
