This is a T.C for MAX PAYNE 1 that I'm working on that's based on the 1978 Zombie Horror classic DAWN OF THE DEAD. I'm trying to stick to the movie as closely as the MP1 engine will allow me & I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for refferance. This T.C has the same story, weapons, characters, music & green skinned zombies as the original movie, & just like the movie you have to shoot the zombies in the head to kill them. Also any weapons that became avalible to characters in the movie will also become avalible to them in this T.C & at the same time & places in the plot.
Check out my Mod Information Profile for progress on this up & coming Max Payne Total Coversion Mod of the original 1978 version of the cult horror movie There's a few more screenshots in my gallery taken from my work on this Total Conversion, & please when all of you guys get voting in the second

Yea, I'm still working hard on this T.C mod, & the forum your reffering to wasn't directly to do with this mod, it was just a forum that I started up that was to do with all things Zombie, but it wasn't proving that popular with only 17 members in the first month, so I closed it down as I've got better things to do with my time, like work on this mod.
And sorry that there hasn't been any updates on this mod just lately but I feature this mod on about 8 different websites & it was getting to the point where all my time was being spent on updating news on these sites & no actual real work was being done on the mod, but I hope to post some more screen shots soon, when I get more time...& thanks for the interest by the way.......;)
i love you.
Wow I've pulled......;)
Starting to look even more detailed than the original Max Payne :D
Tell me, how do you go about making all your textures?
I've use a lot of the original textures from MAX PAYNE 1&2, although I like to see if I can get the texture I want from MAX PAYNE 2 first as they are more defined, although I do resharpen all of my textures before I use them for that extra edge.
I also use a lot of textures from that I download from the web......;)
Here's some of the places that I use textures from:

Looking good as always Hallo. ;)
Thanks Sayantan, & it's nice to get a message from you on this forum also......;)
Thanks SinKing, for your comments although I must say I think its very blinkered of you to think you should get textures from dedicated texture sites, as thats very limiting when you consider all of the wonderfull sites that are out there that you can get textures from.
As for the links above, well you yourself said that my mod is looking good so my choice of sites to get textures from seems to be working out O.K don't you thik?, that being said these were only a sample of the sites that I use anyway.
Also the WARNING SIGNS link is one of the best your find on the web as it has nearly every warning sign you can think of & their all very clearly displayed & not at angles.
I also dissagree with you about the MAX PAYNE engine MaxED being a pain in the ass to use as it's one of the easiest engines to use & thats why theres so many mods for MAX PAYNE.
As for modding being a team game, well thats just complete nonsense, modding is for everyone & that includes lone modders & your find that most of the time it's the lone modders that go no to work for big games companies as they often do the best work as their not tied to anyone elses idea's. Why Just the other day a forum pal of mine who shal remain namelss but who has done many Great mod works on his own, landed a job with Remedy, & is now reported to be part of the team working on the long awaited Alan Wake game, & another great modder & forum pal of mine who also did a lot of lone modding got a job with DICE Stockholm & has done work on the Battlefield games.
Also, don't presume to know me by saying that am just learning when it comes to modding as I have been modding ie.making my own games & add-ons for nearly20 years & thats way back when computers used to have black & white block graphics & only 4Megs of memory which were the first computers on sale to the public & the www wasn't even thought of.
However unlike most I have rarely released anything on to the web over the past few years & if I have it's mostly been add-ons, as I mostly mod for my own pleasure, well that & the fact that unlike most I lack the confidence to realease most of my work as no matter how good I get I never feel it's good enough, & that comes from someone with 8 of the highest qualifications you can get in computing.
Interesting! You get your textures from "decorate today"? I think only the first link is right, the rest is rather - uh - weird stuff.
Your mod is looking nice, however I don't understand why you are doing it all alone. Apart from the engine being a pain in the ass to mod with, you would probably have little problems getting together a dedicated crew for this. Everybody loves zombies as long as they get to shoot/hack/burn them.
I'd vote for you as MOTY and its a great effort to do it all on your own, however I prefer to vote for Mod-teams, because that's what I like most about modding: the teaming. Without it, we would all just go and produce our favorite games. You are making a big effort and undoubtedly you want to learn while modding. So its okay to do it on your own for practical reasons, but the spirit of any mod should be to accomplish something together, I believe...
Jsut wondering since there are no updates is this still work in progress?
And secondly wasn't there a forum of the dead regarding this mod?
