This is a T.C for MAX PAYNE 1 that I'm working on that's based on the 1978 Zombie Horror classic DAWN OF THE DEAD ( & not the 2004 remake ). I'm trying to stick to the movie as closely as the MP1 engine will allow me & I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for refferance. This T.C has the same story, weapons, characters, music & green skinned zombies as the original movie, & just like the movie you have to shoot the zombies in the head to kill them. Also any weapons that became avalible to characters in the movie will also become avalible to them in this T.C & at the same time & places in the plot.

Indeed, that's funny and I was really curious what you would reply to "cheers mate" in the comments where you only wrote "Cheers mate", too. We were working towards something beautiful there, but you just had to delete it, didn't you!
Why will nobody work with me on my Moddb standup comedy routine, why? How can I sell CDs like this, tell me.

Actually the reason I deleted your "Cheers mate" comment is that I thought you where taking the piss as that's what I usually always put with when someone compliments my work. However, I have to admit that this is more down to lazyness on my part because the reason why it appears so much is that I'm just copying it over from other posts as a quick reply. However, my appreciation for compliments for my work is still just the same I can assure you, but sometimes it's just quicker to do it this way when there's more then 1 post to reply too.

Other reasons I might delete a posts are when a poster posts something that makes no sense, (i.e it's gibberish), rudeness, or if someone is just talking out of their ass, i.e hasn't a clue what their talking about.

For example, I've recently had a spate of posts from a 15 year old who has been quite uncomplimentary about the blockiness of some of the models in my screenshots.

Now I don't mind any kind of construtive comments, good or bad, that's if the posters actually knows what their talking about but this guy hasn't got a clue, because if he knew anything about modding with MaxEd (the Max Payne engine), he would know that the engine is very old now, in fact it's only a couple of years youger then the Half Life 1 engine, so you will appreciate that the engine is not capable of handling masses of models with high polygon counts, but these youngsters seem to think they know it all, & seem to think that every game engine (whatever age), should be able to give the same performance as the engines of the more modern games that they are used to playing today.

Also, I find that these kind of comments usually only come from youngsters that have never modded in their lives but they just seem to be some kind of lame power trip thinking they know it all.

My advise to them is, come back when you know a little about what your actually talking about, & grow up.

Nah, growing up is happening by itself and it's not helpfull, if you want to toy with new ideas. I know when it's appropriate to behave like the old fart I am, but sometimes I just have to test out some things that don't hurt anyone.
I think you're doing a great job here and you actually make the engine look very good, due to non-repetitive use of textures and good modelling skills. People who don't know anything about modding are the majority and I doubt most of them even know how much work it is to learn how to texture and create meshes, let alone optimise and import them into an engine. So I appreciate every bit of work done in that field, even though it's not my cup of tea.
The fun I have is strictly on a semantic level and not based on anyones work or ability to create content for a mod. What's pretty obvious about your stuff is that it's all coming together in one style and perfect quality (for MP). And there is nothing I respect more than a one man mod, made by someone, who knows the diffculties of the new (current-gen) engines.
So, cheers mate...;-)
