The DarthMod series of mods continues to improve the AI and gameplay of Total War games.
As always, the mod’s main scope is to destroy the “weak” arcade factors and replace them with realistic features.
Witness now Total War: Shogun 2 as you have ever wanted.

It is compatible with any DLC and campaign (Sengoku Period, Rise of the Samurai, Fall of the Samurai).

Generally it improves every crucial gameplay factor while it stays close to the feel of the original game.

It does not affect your game installation as you can enable and disable it via a special launcher application.
Furthermore you can use additional mods and options with a few clicks.

In DarthMod: Shogun II you will enjoy a redesigned melee system
which makes battles look like real, "really real"!

images of DMS 3.2
When 2 armies clash, you will notice violent pushes, formation penetrations, heroic 1vs1 melees,
as it would look in a real battle of the era.
images of DMS 3.2
Arrows spread realistically and are powerful according to the skill of the bowmen,
but still no match against the matchlocks.

Sieges are really challenging because the new morale, melee and projectile system
create a chaotic and difficult to handle environment.

Even the naval battles are much improved and are a joy to watch,
fun to play and, most importantly, difficult to master!
The new smoke effects of DarthMod Shogun: II v3.6.
All Total War: Shogun 2 DLC and Campaigns are supported
and the realistic battle atmosphere becomes complete
with super effects that do not decrease FPS but increase it!

You want this!
Do not get lost in Feudal Japan's war turmoil!
DarthMod Shogun is the mod you were, are and will look for!

I don't think so, the Shogun 2 AIO and Realism mod are far better than Darthmod, and AIO in Napoleon is the best there is for that. The only thing Darthmod has improved was Empire, which wasn't so much Darth, but a compilation of every modders work into a form of all in one package with his AI tweaks.

And yet many find Darthmod superior. It's all a matter of taste isnt it?

Beez-one Jul 25 2011, 5:41pm says:

Why?
Why Darth should redone AI and balance in every Creative Assembly game?
Why they just can't make it right? Just like players wanted it to be -- a wargame not an anime? They could at least made a separate 'Hardcore' option!
All this is totally beyond my understanding...

mmstick Jul 29 2011, 12:37pm replied:

Shogun 2 is no anime, and Darth has not 'redone' anything. Shogun 2 was already perfect on launch, this is his creation to suit his preferences. Although his mod states historical, Darthmod is far from historical, and more fictional.

this is your opinion and i respect that, but why, then, so many people on the web complained about battles being too fast?

It's not a lie that you can't play this on max settings like other games because dath mod is a mod which makes the mod qualitativ and quantitativ better which means mega graphic plus mega battle size in crysis 2 your pc just have to load a terrain of 40x40 meters and there are just 10-20 units. and in shogun and darthmod more than 4000x4000 plus units over 14000 so there is the result lag crash ... so you need a monster strong pc to play this on max settings. now you know why.

Refrain from taking LSD before posting a comment please. Game engines handle their specific application differently, to compare those two engines is ridiculous. Now you know, something. -_-
