On Terra, the people who live in the Industrial Slums are fed conserved food that's made to last for a long time, most of the workers in the slums tend to be underfed.
These foods include:
- Moon-corn: This is exactly what it sounds like, corn that has been grown on the moon, but much of it originates from farming stations orbiting Terra aswell, since the planet doesn’t have any space for farms. The name "Moon-corn" is used as a nickname for any conserved corn. As you can imagine, this corn isn't as good as the conserved corn we have.
- Wheat flakes: Wheat flakes works as the main part of most meals in the slums, wheat flakes are had for both lunch and dinner. Most citizens in the slums tend not to eat breakfast due to the cost of food.
- Grot: (Pronounced Gr-uh-t) Originating from the Swedish word for porridge, Grot is just wheat flakes mixed with water or skim milk if you've got the money for it. Sometimes this meal is eaten with (artificial) honey, Grot is considered the tastiest food in the slums.
