Dark Source is a epic total conversion for the source engine, set in a post apocalyptic future where a breakthrough which was meant to save the world ends up damning it.
Wow what a year. Cant believe this time last year the mod was just some text on paper and now is becoming a living breathing world of its own. I personally would like to thank every one that has taken part in getting this mod to its current state. Mainly the great team and the great community. For this

For this occasion I give you, a teaser to our upcoming media release.
Thanks for supporting us.

^^ Me too
Congrats on 1 year :)
I know TKAzA. You the man :> Congrats on 1 year.
Not to sound rude CaptainSource, but you can't judge a mod by its "cover", I happen to know there is a lot more than just some "text on paper"
Visit the "What are you working on?" thread in the forums. Tkaza won't shut up about his models when he posts them all the damn time. :P :D
thanks ippo is it annoying u :P
C.S would u say crap media is better than no media at all?
Good job on a year.
Excellent work :D
congratz :D
Awsome!
nice work and good luck with the MOD mW FTW!
happy B day
Happy Day!
I'll say thats a teaser. Can hardly see anything. I even feel like i've been teased. "Lets show you some of our work..OH, GOT YOU! HAHAHA. Wait one more year."
I understand that mods take a lot of effort and when there is only yourself or maybe a couple more people that things do take time to produce, and maybe we have been a little sporty in the last 4 months as there have been more and more mods come out and made so much progress that they look like professional game production houses. What I am saying is I did not mean to offend and understand the frustration at not being able to get things done as fast as one would like, but can I ask you to at least post more than what you have on modDB to show your progress? For if you have heaps more done that what you have shown on this site, it doesn't show and reflects badly to the point where I made my first comment. So my apoligies...
Sorry to seem so pessimistic, but you said a year a go Dark Source was not much more than some text on paper? Well, I am sorry, but I can't see too much more than that right now, and it has taken you a year?
Incase you all are not awate we used to have alot of images on the profile.
These where removed to allow us to post finished work.
Also 99% of ingame work you "see" is done by me and realy the year has been a learning exp.
Nice stuff man <3 keep it up matey and Happy Birthday
If I may butt in here...
How often you make media updates DOES NOT by ANY stretch of the imagination represent how much work has been done on the mod.
The last media update we made for NightFall was on the 17/5 - more than two and a half months ago. And we have far more done than what is shown on our site and our last media post - none of our posts have yet shown any of our NPCs in-game (yet we have 4 in, and a further 3-4 not in yet), none of our weapons in-game (yet we have 4 in), none of our latest maps or anything like that.
Really, you have no idea what goes on in a mod until you look at its internal build and how the team works internally. Some media may or may not be released (we're not going to show you all of our enemies in-game before release), and sometimes not even the latest internal build reflects the status of the mod (I haven't made a code update for a while, but I've added a tonne of new stuff. Theres 3 maps that aren't in the build that are nearly complete design-wise, etc etc) so you can't really judge that sort of thing based on how often a mod releases media updates.
