Dark Reality: Twisted Nightmares is the first chapter to Edward McCalister's story.

ALL NOTES THAT WILL NEED TO BE READ (AND YES YOU HAVE TO READ OR THE STORY WON'T MAKE SENSE) WILL BE LETTERS! LETTERS ARE BOXIER NOTES, THEY HAVE A BROWNISH-TAN COLOR
ALL OTHER NOTES ARE OPTIONAL.
Hello! This is my first custom story! It is a custom story that is more directed to story line than scares. It will have some scares, but not heavy like some other custom stories.
Features:
-Custom monster
-Just like in Amnesia Hill: Harold's Story, if you have the key in your inventory, the doors will auto unlock if you click on the door!
-FANCY DOORS!
-A strong story line (every note must be read, so search thoroughly! And make sure you go room-by-room to get all notes, there will be many notes so it will fill you in on the characters lives and such)
-Many hallucinations of monsters and many actual threats, but some hallucinations will be able to hit you so watch out!
-Classic Amnesia puzzles & new a new one!
-A twisted story line
-A recreation of my favorite part of Paranormal Activity 3 is in the cellar, you will be able to recognize it when you get to it. (it is only an event, no part of the story line copies that)
-A friend!
Characters w/brief bio:
Edward McCalister - The protaganist of the story. Married to Julie McCalister. Gets threatened by Harold Baylor, forced to leave his home. Has hallucinations of Harold, the murderer of his wife, Julie.
Julie McCalister - The deceased wife of Edward McCalister. Murdered by Harold Baylor. Huge impact on Edward's motivation to live.
Laurie McCalister - One of the daughters of Edward and Julie McCalister, older than her twin sister, Madison McCalister. Accidentally killed by an experiment Edward and his assistant had been working on. Only a year old at the time of death.
Madison McCalister - One of the daughters of Edward and Julie McCalister, younger than her twin sister, Laurie McCalister. Accidentally killed by an experiment Edward and his assistant had been working on. Only a year old at the time of death.
Harold Baylor (Brute) - The antagonist of the story. The Baron's main servant. In charge of the other Gatherers (servant grunts). Also, killed Julie McCalister and sets to kill her husband, Edward McCalister.
The Baron - Owner of the Huntingston Castle. Friend of Edward.
The Grunts - Servants of the Baron. Doesn't take direct orders from the Baron, but instead gets orders from Herold. Will be seen more often than Harold.
*Note* The story might be making you question a lot, but it will eventually fall into place, I won't ruin anything!
*Note* Living through some monster encounters (if the monster can finish its path and disappear without killing the player) the player will be rewarded by gaining access to a room that they cannot get access to if they die.
*Note* The only brute in this custom story is Harold Baylor, so if you see a brute, that is Harold. There are many grunts though, who don't have names.

I finally finished this custom story. This weekend I got the mapping done, got a really intense finale, (the finale will be jaw dropping if you really pay attention to the story line) So the first half of the custom story is more based on notes, then the second half is only a few notes but more actual live voice. I am going to get the 2nd part of the trailer uploaded, which is a preview of the new maps. Same song, Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim. Will be uploaded by the time this actually appears. Going to throw the lines for my voice actors together, send them out, then start on Chapter 0, Dark Reality: The Haunting of Frances Williams. After my voice actors send in their lines, 2 people are going to test run my custom story (already chosen, so dont ask XD), on June 9th, the custom story will be released! Hope you guys enjoy the news!

7/10. Pretty good! Voice acting was mediocre imo, and it isn't that long of a custom story, but overall I had some fun with it. Descent design in general, good job, interested to see part two.
I'm glad people still are interested in this. I voiced the main character. At the time I was quite young and only just getting my feet wet in voice acting. I've since greatly improved and am trying to find voice acting work as a job. It's definitely not easy though! It's a shame the creator abandoned this, I tried to contact them several years ago to no avail. I guess they do some let's plays on YouTube now. I guess they just aren't interested int his anymore.

Sorry about the bad detailing in the prison, that was literally the worst map to make, I hated it. When I first put it together and tested it, there were so many bugs, it wasn't even funny. Every second making the prison I hated. It will be more detailed in Chapter 0, but I am not doing anything to it in this chapter.

i played the your CS and i'm stuck in the prison after taken the red card and unlocked the gate and then idk what to do... :( but is good
PS. the walkthrough is to update. LoL
I never uploaded the other walk through, Hahaha ill get around to it, but after unlocking the gate, you need to find the gate that has another gate right after and the padlock on it, use the acid on the padlock

PS. now works is enough press TAB click on the acid and click on the padlock. lolz only that before the padlock was broken.
