Dark Interval is a total conversion mod, the new incarnation of the Original Storyline of Half-Life 2. You will find your way through the nightmarish world of devastated Earth. Starting from the suburbs of City 17, laying your path through the alien factories, the underwater Rebel base, war-engulfed city streets and the alien Citadel, you will feel that dark atmosphere of the Original Storyline. Development started on Apr 10, 2010.

Looks GREAT. I've always wanted to play HL2 Beta as a full working mod. Nice to see a Beta project that is still being worked on that's not Missing Information for once. Do you have an idea for when you are going to release this mod?

*not answering 'coz I wanna answer like «now» and post a link for a demo release but it's not coming out right now*

No but seriously — I've set up 'this summer' as the closest date for a demo release possible to pin right now and I'm trying to work on it though I'm pretty busy with some stuff which is quite important if not necessary in life but sadly is not the mod. Right now I'm coding mainly, getting most of the features possible and trying to get rid of nasty bugs. The main thing, I think, is that I'm not going to wait for the mod to be fully finished in order to make a release, so a demo, alpha or whatever release is definitely coming.

I mean there's nothing to be ashamed of in an early release featuring some unfinished pieces or bugs, is there? That is the part, the vital part of the development process. Even if there would be glitches and everything it will still be a unique stuff. I hope so at least. Am I right?

Releasing unfinished versions can also help finding bugs since people can report them to you.

Quick question. Do you have a youtube channel?

I myself do have a channel, but there's nothing to upload regarding the mod at this point. The old videos are already here, some trailers or level walk-through videos will come later.

Too bad I can't edit the mod's profile… should've sign «Borey» as a genre.

Ah, and those Depot renovations… can see it here, the last eight screenshots. Too minor of an update to even upload there somewhere, I think. But anyway. WIP of course.

Just red a comment (a Russian forum) where DI was called a failed mod for «HL2: Borealis» (more precisely, «мод на HL2: Borey», Borey is the Russian localized (and improper) name for the Ep2 Borealis) and I was called a «troooll of Gabe's scale». Wut. Where do some people even get stuff like this?

By the way: renovating the Depot now. Drew some of the inspiration from the Depot mod, specifically, have decided to return to a vast desert area around the Depot, like in e3 version. Also custom textures is a good stuff… the content loss has served as a push forward, to some extent.

So he's mad that you didn't translate the word "Borealis" to Russian? Borey sounds kind of silly.

No, I don't think that's it. I suspect that he confused Ep2/Portal 2 «Borey» (which is Russian for Boreas, as the North wind god) with Hl2 Borealis (Hyperborea) and wanted a super mod borey epizod 3 free download 2013.

And then he was upset that the mod, in his opinion, ran out of activity ("another deflated mod") and the world will never see Borey mod.

THEN I told him about MI and now there's some person asking on MI page if the mod is about Borealis…
___
And the other thing is that he didn't ask about «Borey» in Russian translation used in the localized game, he transliterated the wrong localized name back to English and it looks so stupid, lemme tell you. That's the typical stuff actually.
