To be honest, I don't really like the new textures on the hidden sides of the cubes, it beaks a bit the mind-breaking ambiance of the whole complex, where all those squares look the same (except for the testing elements) and can confuse many, but in a good way.

I agree, I think having the standard cubes bearing the same texture on all six sides is much better. Imo this takes away from the concept of having the CUBE be constructed of smaller cubes that rearrange themselves, here they seem far more static.
