I really like the G3a3 model you guys have, but I recently took a look at the bump_map for it and it looked pretty weird.
Here's a different one with a proper specular map and everything: Sendspace.com
And here's a screenshot of it with the new bump-map (in COP but it should look the same in CS): Imgur.com
If you want it to be a bit less specular just make the red channel darker.
the weapon damage is tweaked quite a bit, right? one thing i hated about vanilla clear sky was the enemies that took 60 or more shots to kill due to bad locational damage values.
i'm not saying that people should die in 2 hits but its just insane when you are unloading entire magazines into people
This issue has been addressed. We also working on sorting out the unrealistic weapon accuracy. Variables such as bullet speed etc are also being adjusted.
I know this mod is far from complete, and I can't get to the freedom camp because of the bugs, but I still consider this to be the best clear sky overhaul mod there is
The bandits are not really all that hostile in Clear Sky, unless you decide to fight against them (that is, join the loner war against them, which almost everyone does because bandits are bastards) Otherwise they will just take all your money :P. Thanks to the faction war system, you will have a lot of enemies to fight (several people actually think too much compared to SoC). Heck, you start right off the bat fighting against the "Renegade" Faction. It's the polar opposite of Call of Pripyat, whilst SoC forms the middle ground.
