You wake up in a dark alley, not knowing anything. What has happened anyway? You struggle after the truth and answers. Answers you want to know in the darkness and fear, which makes your heartbeat race like violent blows against your head. Where do "they" come from? What has happened? Are you just turning insane? The time is up; you can't stay there reading your smses forever. It's time to head out and find the answers.
Cry of Fear is a singleplayer modification of Half-Life 1 which brings you the horror you've always been afraid of.
It's a total conversion of Half-Life 1, which means it uses NO half-life 1 content or other peoples' files. It's all made exclusively by the developers. It also uses new gaming styles that you will rarely find in Half-Life mods, such as advanced cutscenes and other stuff that will be revealed at a later date.

Well, I might just post a news of this, so you don't wonder why Cry of Fear will be quite inactive (on the mapping part).
Okay, my PC broke, and I'm unable to work on the mod. I believe it might have been caused by overheating or something. So I tried my old PC instead, the one I had when I made AOM and etc, but guess what, it fucking died too! So then I borrowed my moms laptop, and some stupid drivers made that shit die too (vista). So here I'm sitting, with some stupid PC made of wood, waiting for my proper PC to get repaired. And it will take about 1 month for it to get fixed.
Although, I did make a backup of everything, so don't worry.
Hopefully you will get to see some updates from the other members while this shit is getting fixed.

well i think you guy's are doing a good job with the custom item's menu and i hope you get all your stuff figured out soon that way ppl whont bi#%h about dieing like most ppl on here for example Shift for hl2

You don't need powered armour when you know kung-fu. The whole point of the mod is to beat up and shoot everything with as much weaponry and style as possible.
I think armor would come in handy though, since you might get hit quite often when you're out of bullet-time.
He was using the Commodore 64. As you can see, it was really ahead of it's time.
I used 2 PCs for making AOM, one that I got 2001, and one that I got 2003 (1 at mom and 1 at dad). The 2001 is still working, but my brother is using it. The 2003 one is the one which broke. I bought it from another user though, so I don't know how old it is.
