A Game of Thrones is a total conversion mod for Crusader Kings II, based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire.
10/10 because you can play as Stannis of the House Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.
Just a brilliant mod. One of my favorite mods of all time. The map is just beautiful and the characters are made perfectly. I love how the events play out as your reading a book. 10/10 best mod ever!
This mod is simply amazing. I first started Crusader Kings 2 when I saw game footage of this mod, that was a year ago. It really is the most immersive way to get into the song of Ice and Fire universe, I really feel like I'm a Lannister, or a Martell, or a Targaryan. Now stop reading this review and go download it. Seriously
The throne of steel is mine, mine, mine...
Great game: well detailed, somewhat realistic, good choices of tactics. I agree with the comment below posted by mr.Adrian
"Number 1 mod in my book.
It has everything everyone wants in a game of thrones game, better yet, it's free!
Instead of paying 30-40 dollars for a crappy game like "a game of thrones genesis" or "a game of thrones rpg" play this and ACTUALLY enjoy yourself!
This allows you to create your own sagas and what ifs!
What if Eddard never died? What if he waged war on Robert? What if Lyanna lived? What if Robert never won the war?
10/10 I highly recommend this mod "
I'd have preferred to give it a 9/10, but I'm a new member so it won't let me. The entire mod is incredible. The only issues I really have are with the council menu glitching with overlapped names, etc. Also there are some other minor bugs, but I'm confident they will be rooted out before it's actually "released."
This mode is amazing. Attention to detail is incredible. Must play if you
are book fan. You can rewrite the story your own way, for example take Stannis' offer as Jon Snow, get legitimized, claim the North and help him take the Iron Throne.
Expertly executed in general, and as the description said, allows you to explore some very interesting "what if" scenarios. In some games, House Baratheon may not even exist, if you manipulate events early enough. When the Starks are the LPs of the Reach and the Lannisters have both the Stormlands & The North (from After the Spring start), the the mod becomes completely unpredictable.
Beware, for you could lose all you've worked for when they stir beyond the Wall.
This is truly the best mod I've ever used I must have played this nearly 200 hours! The mod seems almost as it was created by a professional team, there are a few bugs in it but they are getting fixed. If you are a fan of A Song of Ice and Fire or the show and a fan of Crusader Kings 2 I recommend this mod.
A Game of Thrones mod is a very interactive and interesting mod for Paradox's Crusader Kings 2. A Game of Thrones is based off The Game of Thrones books and show and follows a time period that expands within 300 of the mentioned story. This mod added several hours onto dozens already spent playing the base game. A Game of Thrones mod gave a nice twist for those who are fans of both Game of Thrones and Crusader Kings 2. This mod is very well made and deserves to be above the level of dlc standard. With such a well made mod there are some things that still require attention to shine. All around A Game of Thrones mod is well worth the effort to check out and can be enjoyable for anyone whether they know Game of Thrones or not. Be warned however that this mod may contain spoilers for those who are reading Game of Thrones books or watching the show.
This mod is hands down one of the best mods for any game ever created. It has accurate history for the AGOT universe and excellent mechanics, many of which should be included in the base game. There is no reason not to play with this mod if you are a AGOT fan. 10/10
