This is a SAGE Creation, but also can be considered as a MOD of RedAlert2, Gradius and Salamander with the powerful graphics improving by <Brightness of Non-Bloom>(Made In Chain)

this is the BONB v1.5 English version, it can be use to almost all ZHMOD and original ZH, to improve your graphics quality upto DX8's limit. if you really...
Notice! it is a movie of this mod. I changed the camera pitch to 90deg accidentally, so captured this surprising movie, a movie very very equal to Gradius5's...
Notice! it is a movie of this mod. also a simulation of Gradius5, same as the Boss CoverCore's dying explode process.

Hi there.
I've trying to install the Chinese 0.76 demo, but whatever I do it just crashes when it tries to extract the audio files midway and I get a message saying Windows cannot find some files in the ZH directory.
Any idea what I can do? This mod looks really interesting.
You have to use Microsoft Applocale to install it or set your regional settings to Chinese.
That should install Chinese fonts, too. If you don't have them Windows reads the Chinese filenames as gobbedygook and breaks.
0.76 has only Chinese Version, I'm not sure it can be installed and run well in Non-Chinese Windows systems.
you're awesome. many peopple hope it will be in english too. i hope you can find a way to have 'Non-Chinese Windows systems' PC/harware and to translate it... or have somebody here to help you.
Awesome, thanks a lot.
hey where can i download the english version ???
sorry, nobody can help me to do the translation, and I have no much time, work already can lay me out
4: JamesBarton and LordBritish is the heroes of Gradius faction(should be Gradius & Latis Ancestor Human Union, I call it Gradius for short, because it is a famous FTG game's name). I said Gradius is a hidden faction, so you can't use James and Lord in skirmish, but you can use then in missions.
2: in the mission story line, RA2's 3 official factions is only "guest actors", main conflict is arround 3 new factions and 1 hidden faction ---- Gradius. why I keeped official factions? maybe they can take strong attraction to old players. after all, RA2 is a classical memory for all of us.
3: heroes system is my special conception, and also what the MOD's name meaning ---- <Heroes Legend>. this originality maybe come from <WarCraft3>, does it very seem? but many players say that it is a flakey design, half of science fiction and half of conjury makes a good Modern War RTS lost all of its intrinsic worth. so I don't know if it need to be improved.
Thanks for the detailed answers!
Re:
1: I'm pretty sure that I can handle Chinese fonts - I have Chinese (PRC) language settings installed and I can use Applocale (used both to install the game). I don't know what QT or VS are, but I can use machine translators if I have to.
3: I don't think having a heroes system in a game like this is a weird concept. Actually, I find it odder that this mod would be considered "modern warfare" - Red Alert 2 was deliberately outlandish and cartoonish, and Gradius is outright science fantasy. Gradius is based around the idea of the solo hero ship, so I don't see how that could be given up. If a "real war" analogue is absolutely necessary, I'd consider it the equivilent of abstracting a tank battallion or fighter squadron into a single unit; then it becomes a matter of how to simulate tactics and the relative control you would have over many units, as opposed to just the one.
I think that the concept of a hero-centered RPG/RTS is sound. Some units could be grunts that defend key points, or go charging in after the hero punches a gap in the enemy lines, and others could provide direct support to the hero character by healing or boosting powers. The concerns I'd have would be whether the hero is over/underpowered, and whether you can support the hero character effectively without having to constantly jump between managing build queues and combat simultaneously - that breaks the immersion for me. Maybe having an "option" that spawns certain kinds of allied units near the hero?
