When I first started playing the CDS series, I was a always a bit scared when I hear the well known 'track' sounds. It was always that, you was in great danger (well, atleast playing on hard).After some years, I got myself some knowlegde with a Hex Editor.
I've began researching the game files of some games, and then I came to the conclusion I never tried it for a Conflict game!
I've made a little modification to some missions, which allows you to control tanks.

Hi WhiteSnoop, download yours mod and mod works perfectly, but the developer mode does not work, put your command line in the shortcut target (-d -j -m) but when you start the game crash, some solution?
PS: I have the pirate game and windows 7 64bit.

You have to run it windowed, CDS2 has this problem where it simply crashes since you don't see the level selector.
I prefer to use 3D ripper DX to make it windowed (check the windowed) and you can also put the commandlines in there.

the mod is very good!
Hey do you have a friend that can made a multiplayer mod? I played this game on GameCube and Co-op mode was so much fun, it's a shame the PC version doesn't have this option.
