Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
The first Winter update is already here. Winter comes in Contra too and you can see how some well-known units look like on frozen backgrounds.
General Ironhand's Drone Controller is a great anti-tank unit. The drones come out of the Drone Controller and circle around their target while shooting. They have limited lifetime. When they get destroyed, the Drone Controller reloads with new ones after a while.
The Drone Controller requires Strategy Center.

Drones have limited lifetime? Why has this been changed? Drones can only travel so far from the controller anyway, and when they are destroyed, the controller makes new ones. So essentially it just means every so often they become defenseless for a second as they send out a new wave of drones...

- Because drones are now launched from the Drone Controller. If they stay there forever, the Drone Controller will spam thousands of drones. There are coding limitations and some things can't be achieved (one of them is drones rearming at the Drone Controller).
So essentially it just means every so often they become defenseless for a second as they send out a new wave of drones...
- The Drone Controllers launch their drones just in time if they keep their distance from the enemy. They must be used as support and stay behind other units.
We would like to see your opinions on it from the Beta. They will be balanced after that depending on your feedback.
