Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
Many players complained of Stealth General's defense weakness. Demolition and Toxin generals have powerful Defense Sites, Assault general has powerful units to support his defense. But Stealth General had Stinger Sites and Missile Silos only. They did not provide as strong defense as other GLA Generals could build. This is why new defense building was added. It is antiradar launcher, which destroys enemy radars (stealth detecting units) at long ranges, but can not harm other units.

will this structure use an ability that blocks the radar of the enemy or just block out a portion of the map?

Somehow a non-dmg defense wont help much imo when attacked by columns of ovie based tanks, but the design is awsome. I hope them stinger sites will also be replaced with something more interesting/powerful.
This structure helps a lot. Without radars, the enemy will be surprised every minute by stealth vehicles and structures. He won't know your plans too, which is a huge advantage to Stealth General. Remaining unseen is heaven for Kassad.

However that is mostly an assault advantage not a defensive one. His defenses will still remain highly vulnerable compared to the rest of the gla factions. At least imo :) .
What is why you bomb trap all the entrances and choke points.
Make the enemy so hesitant to rush, you will have enough time to counter it.
if the enemy can't reveal your other defenses with radars(that are destroyed by this thingi)he can't shot them with artillery,and can't attack the holes after they are destroyed.

only way how to spot building and units around this is radar scan, isn't it...
maybe spy drones will help, but china will have nothing to spot him
China has signal flares.
drop signal flares on buildings...
When you drop them on buildings, they will land around the building, and when a unit moves through the flares, they will reveal the area. Plus, when you target the flares, they reveal the area before dropping.
I'm still unsure how this thing works, what exactly does it do? Does it attack like the enemy command center which blows up their radar? I could never understand the radar kill thingo :(
The radar thingo only works if you play against another human player. Against the ai it has no effect. So if you wanna se how a radar ”jammer” weapon works in generals play online against a human player.

Actually, I'm confused by this Anti-Radar weapon.
We all know the Chinese generals have to upgrade the Command Centers to get the radars, and GLAs have to build Radar Vans.
But the question is how this thing works against American factions? I do remember that they have radars from the very beginning - no need to build anything!
What's more, just how far can this missile work? If it's far enough to attack enemie's Command Center, they will never get a chance to use radar when you finished building this thing. But if it's not so far, it will be very useless, especially against Chinese and American.
So when you talked about "enemy radars", do you really mean the Radars, or all units which can detect invisible things, such as Spy Drones, Pathfinders, Listning Outposts, and of course, Radar Vans?
We mean the stealth detectors, not the map radar.
That's where I was confused too, I thought it was for use against the Radar itself, not stealth detecting units

I'm confused about the antiradar missile just disable the detection abilities or destroy it.
If it only disables, is the mine clearer units still can clear mines without mine detection?
Is the missile also targets transports with field engineers in it?
Field Engineers don't have any radars, so they can't be harmed by this structure.
Does this strecture detect stealth radars?
