The Confederation Leader, Dur Gejjen, has lead an all out offensive leading to a Civil war... Confederate Uprising is set in 40-42 ABY, the Corellian Confederation has started a Civil war againsed the Galactic alliance. The Confederation has the backing of many people, and planets. This mod will try and capture the war and will add many new units while replacing the 2 current Factions, Rebel and Empire, with Galactic Alliance and Corellian Confederation. Now, Some info on Features

For the Mod we have done a Major Space Overhaul. There are many new features that are now apparent in Space combat and many edited things. When you first play the mod, you will notice that your Fighters are Useless. Well, they are not useless but they are not usable in the way that they are used in the stock game.

Fighters are now much weaker than they were in the stock game. Their main use now is to screen your capital vessles and to Engage Opposing Fighters and Bombers. Bombers are now useless when used without Fighter support.

Larger laser cannons, Station or Ship, are now More accurate against fighters and Deadly powerful. Few fighters will survive a barrage from turbolaser cannons now. Corvettes have been powered up so they don't fall in a Bomber pass, and with the new accuracy of the lasers, the bombers will be making even less passes.

Corvettes should now be used in supporting roles for Fighters or Capitals, and not in Solo fights. They are good for supporting other units and need other units support if they are to survive. That said, they are still Very useful and the AI still UBERspams Corvettes. Frigates are now much more powerful with much higher shield strengths. They are now deadly against fighters and should not be underestimated as they were in the stock game. They are Now Very powerful and not very easy to take down. You average frigate should hold up against a Pack of Corvettes and Fighters for a good while.

Capitals are now Very powerful and can stand up to a multitude of Frigates, corvettes, fighters and bombers. A capital vessle now needs a screen of fighters however otherwise they will almost instantainiously fall to Heavy fire from other large vessles.
