I don't think MC has black models do they? I just know that they have sort-of asian looking guys (Although I think that Pacific Thunder has much better asian faces)

Why no cards and cigarettes on helmets?
Just like this Airsoftreenactorsgroup.com

I mean, it looks pretty atmospheric, and just like Vietnam films, like Platoon or FMJ

WTF? There ARE cards on their helmets, Every few soldiers have a steel helmet, every few have steal+band+deck of cards
every few soldiers have netting, and every so often there will be a black guy. It looks good ingame.

I mean playing cards. Like this Media.onsugar.com
And the pictures and art on their helmets would look good too, like

Helmets looking good, isn't it? ._.

Dude, we do have playing cards on their helmets. They are strapped on by a band that goes around their helmet.

This looks really nice. What patch is that? Haven't seen anything like that. Would be best to just use 1st air cav. They did quite a lot of fighting.

Reply Good karma Bad karma+2 votes

1st Air Cav is part of the 1st Air Cav call in ability in the Air Cavalry Doctrine. They are a special call-in infantry combat group which unlike the regular inf come with M16s from the get-go and will probably have some cool abilities unlike the regular infantry. I honestly don't have a clue what division it is supposed to be, Aaron already had them before I joined the team.

Looks a bit like a ww2 USMC patch. The ones used in nam are more or less the same as modern ones.

The site you linked me to is locked :S And PS, the webbing is about as good as it gets but once Aaron stops procrastinating and tries to get the exporter working we can start pumping out our own models, we still need someone good with OE, I am getting lots of errors with it and since I am trying to do corsix MS editing, mapping (for 4 mods) and texturing and scar coding it is all just getting to be too much for me. But since nobody with experience in any of these things will help me I have to keep trying to do this on my own. We have plenty of modelers though (too many actually) who don't have the 08' version of 3Ds Max.

But anyways, could you please try to re-upload that picture on another site? I can't see it :S

Good work, but I really prefer the helmets to look like these:

I know you already have cards and other stuff slipped in the helmet but what I'm trying to point out is the camo that covers the helmet. It gives more of the Nam feeling. Anyway, I'm just suggesting.

Will you be adding a member of the ARVN in the squad as well?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+2 votes

JesusOfCalgary

Actually we have it so if you select the ARVN doctrine your riflemen spawn as ARVN riflemen instead of the regular ol' US infantry.

Cool, but what about those voices? South Vietnamese soldiers speaking fluent American English.

I'm thinking I will eventually go through all of the german voice files and remove all of the files which sound too german and keep the ones with that funny little accent that when pared up with an asian model could probably fit well. We'll see though.

Lovin' the work you're doin' everything here looks great with the cat eye bands, m-16's and flak jackets, just a few suggestions coming from former US Mil, keeping the flak jackets and pouches/belts dark green but using a bit of a lighter OD green like so(maybe play with it?):
Upload.wikimedia.org
makes a bit of a difference.
and maybe some units that have been well known to be a lot more active than 23rd ID.
Personally, I'd like to see 1st Cav's or 25th's ID patch or 101st's patch on the grunts on a chopper, it looks a lot more accurate and common since they've been way more active in all wars in the past 100 years.
Anyways that's just my critique on a few details do what you want I stand by this 100 percent! Keep up the good work!
