great song , but terrible treiler and titan animation is ... man what was that !?
I would have to agree. The whole point of a trailer is to get people excited, not show off the current flaws and bugs. The cuts weren't well placed (especially the end with the distortion of the logo - that went on way too long), and some of the shots needed better composition. On the other hand, there were some shots that had wonderful composition (the Titan sequence), but really was hurt by lack of execution.
As far as the Titan walk cycle goes, the first thing that comes to mind is a penguin, it really has the penguin walk with the flat feet and extreme side-to-side sway. The mech's walk is much like that of a person, but with jerky movements instead of one flowing motion. Watch people walk and notice what bends (the toes, the roll of the foot, the bending of the foot and knee, ect). Google the walk cycle and notices the postions (contant, passing, ect) and try to replicate them within the mechanical confines of the Titan. You may also need to counter-animation the legs to keep them still while everything is in motion.
Good first trailer, and thanks for the effort! Though I have to agree, there were quite a few viable bugs in the trailer, however that is to be expected at this early of a stage in the game, and thus, don't bother me much at all.
Looking forward to Trailer 2.0, hopefully with a few more Nod Buildings next time!
