C&C UNTITLED V3.0 RELEASE - " It's of happenings!"

DESCRIPTION:

As you all know, or are about to find out, our project is about 8 (soon to be 9) years old, which means that we grew up from the moment we started and with that, our lives got complicated and got hit by the reality of real-life challenges and which translates to having alot less time for our hobbies..

With that, instead of delaying it even further, we considered that we've done enough for a new release; while there is always room for more improvements, those things take time, which we don't have as of late.

So, ladies and gents, as promised - well more like as many of you hoped for - we present this new year gift to all of you; the release of C&C Untitled v3.0.

HOW TO INSTALL:We didn't provided an automatic installers / uninstallers program and bat based launchers due to, from past experiences, causing more problems and overall unreliability.
So, follow the linked instructions then extract everything in the .rar file into your main ZH directory:


Additional notes:

- Your must have ZeroHour patched to it's latest version. Latest version is 1.04
- This mod uses custom AI, so make sure to backup the ZH "Data/Scripts" folder by moving it or renaming it to prevent conflict.

JOB HIRING: AI SCRIPTER

The AI works to a point, and though we planned to fix it before release, we didn't due to time constraints and we also don't want to cause further delays for the release of C&C Untitled.
In all, we really need an AI scripter, so feel free to offer your services (instead of whining about it as always) because any help on that front would be more than welcomed.
Of-course that means you have to already know how to do it or atleast the basics of it, as none of us has the time to teach you or let you leech the mod in the hopes that you might learn how to.

Does this mod fix or at least address the slowdown issues while playing against AI in Skirmish mode? 'cuz I hear the SAGE engine is terrible, and that it can't be fixed or rectified or patched.

If it did that it would pretty much go against the EULA part. So no it doesn't fix sage's ****** pathfinding. It doesn't lag like other mods, and as already said in the update description the AI atm is borked, but big maps might still be a bit problematic in terms of lag.

Now that the world builder is working, i have something else to complain, its not really a bug, but there is a serious lack in props and maps :/ i wanted like HUGE props, specially ones like real life, eiffel tower, skyscrapers, stuff like that :/, also i expected many urban and good maps, but there is only like 5 new maps in this release :/

You do realize at the end of the day it's just me and Kris that work on this mod. And before we do any civilian related stuff we have alot more planned for the factions themselves. So that atm is quite low on your priority list, though feel free to model them and we will gladly add any expected props in the mod. We also don't have a dedicated mapper so once again, feel free to map and we will gladly add it if we find it worthy.

Let me just say the two of you are doing a bang up job, it is your mod and as such it shall follow your vision, regardless of anything any of us say. You have both done splendidly, and I, and others I am sure, just are happy you continue to do such a wonderful job in something we all enjoy.

Hmmm.......maybe it is just me, but I feel the Nuclear general and Superweapon general should have ultimate weapons that are a bit more.....unique than the base version. But perhaps that in the end is purely a matter of aesthetics.

Also, the Nuclear Overlord Tank.......doesn't seem very nuclear, it's shots don't even seem to leave radiation, let alone cause a small nuclear blast, and it has no weapon upgrade for anything related to nuclear tech, honestly the Nuclear Overlord Tanks seems like just a average Overlord Tank in both form and function.

Nuke general will suffer a major overhaul in the next version along with other factions. We are currently doing plans to further specialize each faction into a specific doctrine, including the vanila factions. More on that later in development.
