Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen.

As you are all probably aware, I made a statement on some certain websites indicating that there would be a release in January to make-up for the lack of one on Xmas eve, which is our usual tradition, however, I have not actually got around to packaging up a new release.
We are all human beings, and we've all got other things to tend to instead of Twisted Insurrection 24/7, as much as I love it, it's always going to be a very low priority to me, but my highest priority in the modding field.

Anyhow, I'd like to apologize for not being able to live up to my word of a release last month. I have learned not to set release dates until I am 100% certain that the deadline can be reached.

In any case, all this waiting has not been in vain, there has been plenty of work done to Twisted Insurrection behind the scenes, enough to retract my previous statements that there will be no Public Beta 5, I'd say. There is no sense in doing another release now when there will be a more worth-while and complete release (enough to be Beta 5's release) in a few months time.
Those of you whom check the Twisted Insurrection website on a regular basis may have noticed some new images and updates to various areas of the site, including additional images in the gallery.

One of the most significant changes up-to-date will be additional gamemodes. Currently, there is only one new gamemode coded into the current Insurrection build which is King of the Hill. Several multiplayer maps have been edited for this new gamemode and will have several of it's own unique maps before the next release. More images to showcase the gameplay of this new multiplayer gamemode will come in due time.

There have been additional updates done to the campaign based upon public feedback and staff findings and additional missions will be available. The exact number is unknown as of yet. There will be an option allowing you to chose each mission individually in no particular order in the next release. This feature will be removed during the final releases of Twisted Insurrection.

Granted, much of the work done to Twisted Insurrection behind the scenes consists mostly of coding work, there are already over 300 individual changes recorded in the changelog since Public Beta 4's release, which given the time-gap between now and the last release is quite a significant number of changes. I do however have a few small screenshots of some graphical changes and additions.
Hopefully we'll have some additional faction structures to add to this list of graphical changes before a new release...

One of the most significant changes to Twisted Insurrection since Public Beta 4 is a new and improved radar interface, which those of you with keen eyesight may have already noticed in some previous screenshots. It may not look like a large change as the radar interface itself is tiny, but every single Template file has been edited in order to make the radar more clear, useful and actually radar-like, here are some examples:

In-case you have missed it amongst all the chaos going on around these forums, Twisted Insurrection: Original Soundtrack Volume 3 was released a few weeks ago. This latest version includes all Twisted Insurrection music tracks created to date, including Killing Fields, Despair (Remade), Stalkers, Adrift and the bonus track,Stripped of Life. It's a nice video review of Twisted Insurrection which is in my opinion a very handy one for players new to the project as it summarizes the key story points quite well.

May i suggsest for you guys to merge with c&c reloaded mod? i mean, in reloaded, they already have transported TS factions into RA2 (in addition to RA2 sides), but i heard he could use some help (FS-21 is reloaded mod leader moddb user).
btw im not trying to advertise another mod, i just want to play TS with RA2 gameplay.

Well. FS-21 does know who am I and how to contact me. I don't think merging is possible but aiding each other is a subject to discuss.

btw, are you also taking part of converting campaigns of TS? i mean this way you both could win andprogress would also be faster

I think that the best contribution to classic C&C modding is 1) make units be able to move in 16 directions instead of 8,2)make buildings be able to turn to different directions(as gate are)3)Decrease the size of squares(i think that it can be done by increasing the size of all objects,but it will require to remake maps).Everithing else is not as important as these 3 things.
