Q: When it's gonna be released?
A: As soon as i finish it, i don't really want to rush with my projects, because great things take time, but i assure you - it won't take too long.

Q: Is there will be new units/buildings/abilities/generals powers?
A: I'm planning to release 2 version of mod in a same time, the first one will contain only default C&C Generals Stuff, the second one will have something new, not really sure what it will be.

Q: What the heck is RC1/2/3?
A: It's mod Release Candidate versions, i've devided my mod development into three stages : RC1 - Units Demo, RC2 - Units + Structures Demo, RC3 - Final Release.

Q: How are you gonna add abilities/upgrades/special powers to mod?
A: This will be simplified, i will use Veteran/Heroic states for GLA Units instead Junk collecting, some upgrades will be bundeled into protocol upgrades, you get the idea.

Currently i am working alone, but with a great help of these guys :

Jafhar/GoGoYubari - He's responsible for bright and great ideas, additional models, great advices, help with textures, there's really too much to mention so let's just say that he's a great person to be befriended with, period.

Sgor00 - Proud Mapper of GenEvo mod, he's artist of GUI and Cameo textures, Web designer, great adviser and great friend. Check out his personal site! ( RU Only ).

TimeDefender - When i need constructive criticism - i ask him, he's my RL friend, he's helped me with software that EA didn't care to include ( Particle Frames/Lifetime calc, C&C Geometry params converter, etc. He's also responsibe for tons of ideas.

Dcesarec - Proud member of Contra Mod team, great modeler, just a nice person. He is responsible for RC2 Infantry models, give him a huge thank you, because without him i was not able to bring infantry to RC2.

Zeke, and a whole NLS team - Thank you for contributing me your old unused assets, you made a GIANT contribution to RC2, now players of GenEvo will be pleases with your top notch models, thank you.

St4lk3r - Thank you for Marauder and Mammoth model, i am proud to use these.

Existor - Thank you for new main Generals Evolution logo, pretty much everything you draw is masterpiece. Keep it up lad.

Currently i am seeking for GUI Artist, just a retexture job, i need to get rid of RA3 UI completely. So if you're one of them then just PM me for info!

Bibber - The savior of C&C Modding community, authour of numerous tools and expansions, which made C&C3/RA3 modding simplier, i cannon imagine my mod without his work, kudos to you, mate.

Megumi/Asuka - Working with Bibber and other chaps she's responible for many other contributions to C&C3/RA3 modding.

All of you - And of course all of you, all who follow my mod and making feedback. Major thing that keeps mod alive is feedback, i must know that i am doing the right thing. You always cheer me up.

C&C : Generals Evolution : Mod is in top 100!

Hey there mates, once again, Gunship here, i'd really like to thank all of you for voting for mod in first MOTY stage. Thanks to all of you i've managed into top 100 of ModDB mods. This is a really a big deal to me, since this is a kind of feedback i want to see to continue my work, it gives me a huge moral boost. Thank you once again.

So, you might ask, what's new? Well, not really much, since latest update i am hardly working on porting assets, fixing them, mapping. In total i have 580 mb of new mapping related content, it's like 500~ new assets, that's a huge number i might admit. Me with cooperation of Sgor00 gonna bring you high quality mapping any time soon.

Meanwhile, i'd really like to introduce you some of my favorite moddb projects, some of them in a need of your vote too!

The first one is called : The Rogue Republic


Rogue Republic is a RTS game, their main aim is to bring to you C&C like gameplay, cutscenes and immersive storyline. Their main featues are :

Faction Editor - You'll be able to create your own army via it.
Wide unit variety - over 100 units available.
Naval warfare - destroyers, subs, aircraft carriers and more.
And many, many more to come!

Personally i'd like to see more in-game screenshots, their modelling, texturing, scripting work is amazingly good. You can check ( and optionally vote for IOTY ) them HERE



The second project is from my good old friends. I am talking about DUNE20XX
Dune fans out there might remember cancelled Dune : Evolution game ( which started as C&C3 mod long time ago ), it was a really good project and some team members can't just give up, so couple of them unite to revive and reuse Dune : Evolution content ( also make entirely new content ) and bundle it as a mod for Command and Conquer 3 : Tiberium Wars game.
This mod is all about Mixing of visual styles from canceled mod Dune:Evolution and some ideas from Emperor: battle for dune.
There will be 4 sides to choose from: House Atreides, House Harkonnen, House Ordos and Emperor!

Their main feature is high quality content, such as Texturing and Modeling work. They also have Sgor00 as a team member, so expect high quality mapping content too!

Just go and check their stuff and see for yourself!


And last, but not least is a Tiberium mod for C&C : Red Alert 3 game!

The main goal of the mod is to bring best assets from both C&C3 and C&C4 into one mod for Red Alert 3. Main features are :

Total Red Alert 3 conversion-transformation RA3 to CC3 as close as it is possible,
Imporved egnine (RNA renderer),
Remake of Tiberium Wars/ C&C4 maps,
Naval war and water base building,
More stable LAN and ONLINE.

I've fixed game breaking/crash related bug mentioned bellow ( random crashes at any time ), i thought it was caused by the number of assets, because current mod size is pretty huge, or even particle slave systems, i was very afraid of this. But it appears it was a code related mistake in unit which had a lot of code leading nowhere ( leftover from porting to a new base ), i wonder how that unit get thorough building process if it had this crap. Oh well, it's fine now, for the most part. Right now i am cleaning the code from other junk. This is not the latest/major thing i need to do, there's more important work, but i want to keep the code clean to not get any crahses like this anymore, they scare me.

hey Gunship, because the making of RC2 take alot of time (more than 1 year), i was hoping that RC2 will be Balance, small ammount of bugs, and FUN Gameplay

but as always try not to do anything that make the mod broken

All balance have been ported directly from C&C Generals, some things were changed because they can't be don't like they were made in previous engine.

Every balance related variable have been defined in a single file, to keep mod clean and ease balance tweaking, it looks something like this : Yadi.sk

I freaking try, but whenever i try something cool i met with a huge "**** YOU" from the engine in a form of crash without report/reason.
