You woke up in an apartment high-rise building. You don't remember anything, even your name. You have deep cuts all over your body... you are bleeding heavily. On the floor and walls is lot of blood, obviously, not only yours. You need to find something to sew up the wounds, and then try to understand why this nightmare is going on...
Obviously the translations are horrible, but you get the drift.
The obnoxious screen hit/flinching gave me a headache and wasn't stressful or tense, it was just annoying. I'd seriously consider reducing that screen overlay or whatever to be less frequent and severe. If you wanted to make it tense you could add some low, but urgent music as a replacement.
The color correction was bland. A simple gray tint to the game would have been just as good, probably better.
The level layout was done nicely, but you need better texture choice, and alignment. Not to mention a load of detail (decals and overlays) since your furniture was so scarce due to the item hunting in the mod. Also, clip the outside of the building, as you can fall and land on the ledge below.
The only obvious parts of the game are when you're given a gun, and when a blood smear actually tells you A+B=C. I got stuck on the door handle thing. It's a metal handle bar from a door, placed onto a piece of wood. It seemed obvious that it belonged to one of the locked doors, yet for some reason it connected onto the metal window and allowed you to open it. Most of the mod was like this, but its seriously 5 minutes long and didn't offer enough time for players to get use to the "check everywhere" method.
The slow-motion effect was nice (but why would SWAT be using grenades?) and the weapon models were beautiful.
Needs a lot of work but you are on to something.
Interesting at first but bad translation, bad ending, lack of any real content besides some some nice street type of urban clothes people walk around outside with an 10-15 minutes of gameplay. This was a exercise to playthrough mainly for finding those damn keys. The sounds ripped from Max Payne 2.
Really confusing for any player to know all the secrets. The first room alone has 2 seperate secrets that if you just launch the game you'd spend probably 45 minutes to figure out you need to take a picture off the wall. While level design looked cool, the concept was interesting, I only gave it a 5 because of a playability. There are tons of people I know who would have played this 10-15 minutes and said screw this. Theres no real hints in-game, I had to find someones walkthrough for help. Most players will just say this game sucks and be done with it. If you want people to take your work seriously, you need to work on that. You can't just hide every little thing behind something and expect the everyday player to find it. In the industry this mod would be laughed at because they know players are fickle and don't want to have to be told how to play the game because they don't know to look behind a picture that looks totally in-place.
****Large criticism with spoilers incoming****
I loved the first part (the one you're actually bleeding), rather thrilling, not too hard, not too easy. Then I had a hard and painful time figuring out what to do in the office "puzzle": Since there was a medpack conveniently placed in an office, I took my time and jumped out of the window a couple times in despair, ninja jumped everywhere down some balconies( and saw some mapping mistakes that obviously weren't meant to be seen) just to find a black trash bin in a dark corner of the already dark office and end up furiously swinging it around just to accidently find a key. For another unrelated room.
Then I noclipped my way out of the last "puzzle" which was also about finding a key. Why? Because since when does finding lost keys a good fun? It's definetly annoying in real life, why redo that in a game... three times in a row?
And where did that gun in the end come from? Who writes a recipee in blood for acid using a gas can, in a bathroom? Who the **** has so many goddamn Pain pills in their apartment?
Found this mod, in my honest opinion, rather dull. All that it did was make me frustrated and confused (in the bad way). 5/10, 3 for the mapping, 2 for the effort. Try and make more creative puzzles like the acid one instead of "Find a needle in a haystack" game.
This mod was frustrating and short. There was no clear way on how to get to the bathroom on the first level. I ended up noclipping. Also just as the action starts to pick up the game just ends with some boring after pictures that take forever to scroll by. And no matter what choice you make you end up in the mental hospital. I only give this a 5 out of 10 because it's pretty.
