CWC is a C&C Generals Zero Hour Total Conversion and also works with "The First Decade". It takes place from 1980-1989 and features realistic units from the 80's. We want CWC to be a mixture of realism and fun. CWC is more realistic than vanilla Generals, with real life weapon systems and side specific characteristics. CWC offers 2 factions: Russia and USA. The Russians tend to use tanks and artillery (for example: T-72 / T-80, BM-21, 2S1 only to mention a few) while the USA rely on aircraft and high tech units (for example: F-15, F-16, F-117, A-10 etc.). Also we we have a lot of infantry in the game, not all of them are just cannon fodder.
It's a rare thing to come across a mod (completed) with the detail and realism like that of Cold War Crisis. It was incredible. The... everything. Detail of units, structures, the balancing of weapon power and destruction. Effective antitank missiles for once! The best building garrison system I've ever seen. It's truly a beauty. Well. Not. QUITE. Everything. In fact, there was one thing that REALLY, REALLY frustrated me. The game was so F***ING HARD. Now, you may say, "you just suck." No, I've been playing Zero Hour for a good six or seven years, and previous C&C games for longer. But when I can't have the satisfaction of toying with an Easy Army, of actually being able to survive, and somewhat easily being able to penetrate the enemy base, without any REAL effort, without screaming at the AI (Easy Army, btw) with absolute hatred, that's when I stop having fun. That's when I stop "gaming." Not five minutes into the game are is Russian armored division coming over the hill to destroy me. I couldn't really enjoy the game, and that took everything out of it. I hope you have more fun than I have.
