CWC is a C&C Generals Zero Hour Total Conversion and also works with "The First Decade". It takes place from 1980-1989 and it features realistic units from the 80's.
We want CWC to be a mixture of realism and fun. CWC is more realistic than vanilla Generals, with real life weapon systems and side specific characteristics.
CWC offers 2 factions: Russia and USA. The Russians tend to use tanks and artillery (for example: T-72 / T-80, BM-21, 2S1 only to mention a few) while the USA rely on aircraft and high tech units (for example: F-15, F-16, F-117, A-10 etc.).

Also we have a lot of infantry in the game, not all of them are just cannon fodder. So engaging a T-80UK with a US Rifleman won't be a good idea. Other infantry units can be a real pain in the ass to armoured units though. We want the players to use more infantry than in regular Generals, where infantry wasn't the big deal. In CWC Infantry can be very useful, even against tanks if you have LAW/RPG-Soldiers.

On April 20th, 2004 CWC was released to the public, which happens to be exactly 9 years ago today. That's a great reason to celebrate, if you ask us. But before we open the champagne, we also have two announcements to make:

hey is there a way to edit the files and make it so i start out with like more than one generals point? I want to use all technology. I try to edit one file but there is the .cwc one and the .big one. idk which one to edit. cuse when i edit either or it causes the game to crash.

They do have nice range on their guns, you just need to use infantry or aircraft to sport targets for them.

For realistic game play, following options can be considered:

1. Attack helos dont Re-arm in air but fly back to helipad for re-arming.

2. Instead of making dozens of fuel/ammo depots, the option for constructing fuel and ammunition supply vehicles should be made which move to units when called for supplying.

This also means now units should carry limited ammunition and fuel.

This concept is used in game "WW3: Black gold"

3. Aircrafts(F-16,Mig-29 etc) also carry mini-gun 20/23mm used for dog fights or strafing ground units.

4. UH-60 should carry 7.62 MG for supporting the troops it drops, otherwise a nother chopper is required for fire support.

Since I was used to suggest on there forums a lot, I can tell you the following answers for each suggestion:

1- PROBABLY can't be done due to Engine Limitations.

2- There is no new units of any kind will be released anymore.

3- There will be no new features made by the official team anymore.

4- This was already discussed but due to the fact that the US can start with Helicopters way sooner than the USSR, the US already hold an advantage that they can support ground units with Little Bird or the Cobra. So having a helicopter that transports soldiers to capture flags AND support them will cause an imbalanced game in case of helicopters.

But if you have experience in modding, you are free to work in modules and modify the mod and show it to the CWC Team to see if they can officially release it as a new version of the mod.

Note that I'm not an official member of the CWC Team nor connected to them in anyway, I'm just a fan with knowledge about what the team is going to do. So these answers are not official nor 100% sure that they will be the answer of the CWC Team.

This mod is how Generals should have been. The quality of the work done in CWC is remarkable. I followed this mod ever since I first saw it in 2005, the first things that caught my eye was BMPs floating on water, just like in real life. The only game I had seen that in was Operation Flashpoint. So began a long wait, I visited the CWC website every week looking for updates, and every time there was an update it gave me a smile.
