CWC is a C&C Generals Zero Hour Total Conversion and also works with "The First Decade". It takes place from 1980-1989 and features realistic units from the 80's. We want CWC to be a mixture of realism and fun. CWC is more realistic than vanilla Generals, with real life weapon systems and side specific characteristics. CWC offers 2 factions: Russia and USA. The Russians tend to use tanks and artillery (for example: T-72 / T-80, BM-21, 2S1 only to mention a few) while the USA rely on aircraft and high tech units (for example: F-15, F-16, F-117, A-10 etc.). Also we we have a lot of infantry in the game, not all of them are just cannon fodder.

finally version 484 is online and waiting for you to download it! As you might already know from the previous news post, the update features a new 4 player map and a totally new game type.
It's a huge 2vs2 map in which the players start with already built bases. In each team the players are assigned different roles, one player can build ground units and helicopters, but no planes. His job is to secure the base, capture flags and eventually attack the enemy. The other player can only build infantry and support units like aircraft and artillery, thus he can concentrate on micromanaging these units to provide efficient support to the partner.
In this game type, cooperation between the players of a team is much more important than in normal skirmish games, as noone can survive long without the other. It makes the whole game more realistic but it's still a great gameplay experience. We hope you like it as much as we do!
By the way, if you've been reading our forums lately, you'll have noticed that we are also working on various bug fixes. They are not included in 484 however but will be released as a seperate patch soon (when it's done ;) ) which will also address some balancing issues.
