No. The FIM-49A Stinger, to my knowledge, fires a missile similar to the AIM-9 (Sidewinder), which is an anti-aircraft missile, it doesn't have the kind of warhead to penetrate armor. Maybe you could destroy light armor with the high explosive part of the missile, but good luck getting lock on a vehicle's exhaust. As far as I know, the Stinger only fires with lock-on, but there might be a manual trigger somewhere on there. I've never handled one myself :P

that's the stinger anti-air missile launcher. most probably its rocket bursts in mid-air that's why it can't do much damage to tanks but havoc to aircraft..
