Upcoming reward unit for soviets.
Will replace ISU-152. Only one available.
Model from MoW.

Cool, the IS-3. Even the King Tiger will fear it.
Nahhh the Kingtiger has more armour and its kwk43 deals more penetration since the IS-3 uses the same 122mm as the IS-2 with more armour and larger turret. Of course this is what I remember from playing mow but any way thanks for adding this :D
The IS3 has more armor but his gun sucks.
The IS2 has the worst armor between IS3 and KT.

2)King Tiger

Nope , Tiger2 had better front armor and turret armor .. also better gun.
The JS 2 was the most heavly armoured tank that saw combat in ww2. Don't know about in game stats though?
IS-2:
chassis: 120mm front glacis @ 42° = 152mm LOS.
turret front: 110mm LOS
IS-2m (modified IS-2 version used in 1945 in Berlin)
chassis: 120mm front glacis @ 60° = 240mm LOS.
turret front: 110mm LOS
Tiger II:
chassis: 150mm front glacis @ 50° = 230mm LOS.
turret front: 180mm LOS
IS-3:
chassis: 110mm front glacis @ 56° = 193mm LOS
turret: 220mm at the front, sides + rear
So we can say the late IS-2m had the best front protection for the hull, but worst at the turret. The Tiger II had the better protection at the turret, however a little inferior to the IS-2m, but much superior to the regular standard IS-2. The IS-3 has worse protection at the hull than both, Tiger II and IS-2m, however it had the best overall turret protection with 220mm allround.
For the ones who don't know the difference between IS-2 and IS-2m, you can see it in google pictures. The version in Company of Heroes is the IS-2m, by the way...

You could at least let th ejerries keep the jagdtiger then and add panther 2s or some e series tank or somethign :P
this tank is not so though as you think it is.. it cant penetrate tiger2 or jagdtiger from the front unless it gets really close..
then its unrealistic which is the only thign i hate about this mod ( no offence guys, i really like your models but i like realism more :P )

Indeed, what @βéϯд is correct, IS-3 used the same weapon that IS-2, so it can't penetrate better than a JS-2 would.
And that will be reflected in our mod.
CoH wasn't built for realism. If you want realism, you're better off playing MoW.
Or Battle of the Bulge, Blitzkrieg, Normandy 1944, etc... just saying :P

Is this really neccessary? Having this AND the is-2 seems kind of pointless.
This Tank (IS3)was not used in WW2 in combat, why you take it in Game ?

The IS-3 was rumoured to have fought in Berlin, RUMOURED as well as in Manchuria vs. Japanese which is good enough to warrant its inclusion same as the US's Pershing for Relic, it will be a balanced one time call in and is simply pure beautiful eye candy for EF players. :P
P.S.
It is in no way a reason for the Maus lovers to start up that this warrants it's entry it was a failed PROTOTYPE as in never entered any battle ever, and would be a nerfed shadow of itself in the game.
I agree with u IS3 is a real beauty but take in a Postwar tank in game will take down the Balance for one side , with IS3 its the same like with Brits Centurion Tank produced at wars end and deployed to Europe/Kont. shortly before germany surrender!But no one would come up with the idea to take the Centurion into a WW2 Game/Mod . Or?

IS-3 wasn't there right after Germany surrender. Since early 1945 those tanks were pumped out, of course they never were that numerous but they easily matched the Pershing in quantity i guess.
The Centurion was a post war tank too, however it was "beta tested" in very small quantities... less than the Pershing i guess and the final model was ready at 1946, unlike the US Pershing or in our case IS-3.
I wouldn't be so sure that the idea of coming up with a Centurion tank in a WW2 game/mod hasn't been considerated. I guess the mods that explore an alternative history for WW2 could implement it.
Even if we could grab that tank, do you really think RMC Brits need it??

Also, remember that IS-3 has slightly better armor and same gun than IS-2. Not that is going to replace KT as the strongest heavy.
For balance reason plz give the IS3 an realistic (slow) rate of fire (because of its 2 piece Ammo) . The first IS3 tanks were never used in Combat in World war 2 ,also the russian stated that this Tanks were not used vs the germans .But this is a Game and should be fun and for that reason i have nothin against an IS3 in game but Please think of the balance ,otherwise noone will play the german side in Multiplayer when the russians side are overpowered .@ Blackbishop ,Centurion Tanks were on their way to the front at VE Day for Combat trials , why not take in that outstanding Tank in the Game . Plz never take in Maus, its a "Oneway"(Sackgassen Panzer) Tank ,it is nothing more then to see what is possible and were never produced because of Germans Bridge, Railroad limitations and the narrow Village streets.
only 8 pershings were used, ~3 "bergetigers", 48 ostwinds, stuh42 was based on stug3 chassis not stug4 chassis. marder3 model is too big just like the m18 hellcat...that are only those errors that i can think of right now, but there are surley many more. so coh isn't historicaly accurate.
adding the IS-3 may be unrealistic but will be fun to play with and it doesn't kill the balance.
add the lowe as well !

All except the king tiger whose frontal armour is impervious to the IS-3s gun. And can still destroy the IS-3 in return.
