Description
Soviets now have a new aircraft at their disposition. Thanks to DMz and Beefy^ :). It will replace the strafing run from IL2, so the Hurricane will strafe infantry troops while the IL2 attacks armoured units.
Model and textures by DMz, animations, RGO editions and additional tweaks by Beefy^.
Now this is some true quality work. Are the British going to have their own Hurricanes too ? (its their plane after all)
This is possible when the British get a "RAF officer" of some sort to replace captain of lieutenant, just like how you guys made Me262 strike possible in Wehrmacht' Luftwaffe officer replacement.

We didn't add the Hurricane for Brits, although it is possible they can use it for RMC, but we will see that later ;).

I don't think we need anymore planes tbh. Adding more of them would be like adding models just for the sake of it. Maybe they might fit with the campaign, but I really think these two cover our air support needs.
i agree you only need around 2 models for planes because there are only two options. Recon and ground attack.

why this instead of any russian plane?

Because we work with what we have and this british plane was actually used by the soviets in WW2.
There was no plan to include a second plane, because it is not needed at all. The ability worked with IL2s alone in the previous patches and it was fine.
However, DMz and Beefy^ made this model and they created a soviet skin for it, so why not use it if we can put it in the game without messing with the ability or with balance?
The result, now the IL2 Sturmovik ability is named Air Raid and we use a combination of two planes instead of only IL2.
Not having the Hurricane doesn't mean we would use another soviet plane, because as said above we never planned to do a new one, it means IL2 would do the job alone as in the previous patches, so for variety sake I think is fine.

I loved the old model of 1.6 machine guns and anti-tank missiles :)
Its still there, but IL2 drops bombs and the hurrican strafes.

Dude, this "IL-Sturmovik" looks completely wrong because it is not an IL2 at all. As said in the title and description of the image, it is a Hurricane IIC... where it also says we are using both as @GeneralCH says.
By the way, that new PTAB cluster bombs you guys added to IL-2 are pretty impressive, now I love to use Breakthrough Strategy more than ever xD ! Yet I'm a hard-line, turtle-like defensive player that prefer digging-in over attack doctrines.
