Orks - The 6 major Clans
New units and characters for all the original races.


Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since any news was released, and there has been a good reason for that: frankly, there has not been any.

However, I can now reveal that work has been resumed, although at a slow pace. Deathwatch78 has generously found time in his busy schedule to give some time to modding, and will therefore be working on new eye candy for the next version. This also means anything which did not make it into 3.5 will be in the next version. On the other hand, the gameplay element is still on hold due to the absence of boothy_p.

Yeah, sorry about those errors, I know about the daemon builders, and text wasn't really high on my list, hence the ones with no description. That is my solution I'm afraid......

DIR /B /O:N /S > filename.txt
at command line. extract all your entities into a dummy mod, then use this, all your entities in a text file....

Like on UA I expect; everything has less health and does more damage (opposite of the softcore mode pritty much).

Is it possible to make the softcore/hardcore conditions apply to just human players? Because as I see it, if it gives everyone the same advantage/disadvantage, there's no point of having it :P Also it would be cool to have some really tough SMs holding off against loads of insane difficulty enemies tyranids ;)

I tried many times & different ways & still cant get the Tyranids & Black Templars to work for Codex! The necessary program link just doesnt connect. Yet the Nids & BT mods work well with other mods. I know i accidently deleted my Netframeworks 3.5 but that shouldnt effect WH40k as all other games/mods work well.

I'll do a quick run through to check you're doing it right:

1. Back up the original codex.module file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm".

2.Open the codex.module file using notepad and add "RequiredMod.1 = BTmod" and "RequiredMod.2 = tyranids" above "RequiredMod.1 = DXP2" and "RequiredMod.2 = W40k".

3. Change "RequiredMod.1 = DXP2" and "RequiredMod.2 = W40k" to "RequiredMod.3 = DXP2" and "RequiredMod.4 = W40k".

4. Save and copy this module file to "C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\codex", and replace the codex.module file located there.

5. Launch the Codex mod from the Game Manager in DOW SS.

That's because you didn't do that exactly as I said ;) You either didn't put the list of "RequiredMod.(x)"s in order or number them correctly, this is exactly what the module files should say:

RequiredMod.1 = BTmod
RequiredMod.2 = tyranids
RequiredMod.3 = DXP2
RequiredMod.4 = W40k

and make sure you actually have downloaded and installed the templars and tyranids mod separately. If they are not there then it will crash after the opening cinematic......
