Installation Instructions:

1. Download both parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Codex Base Code.
2. Extract all 3 parts to your SS directory (see tutorial - Moddb.com).
3. Download and extract Codex 4.0 to your Soulstorm directory.
4. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (4.0)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.


NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Codex 4.0 Released

Ok, so Codex 4.0 is out! Change log as usual is below:

Added Khorne Daemonkin

Added Inquisition Allies to Ad Mech
Renamed several Ad Mech units

Tau:
New updated Riptide (thanks to Oomperial for allowing into the mod)
Updated the Tau Commander
Added Crisis Bodyguard unit

Added a bunch of Army schemes for Ad Mech, and Daemonkin

Various (lots) of bug fixes and tidying up of Chaos Space Marines
Some other stuff I didn't note down, but have done..............

Just thought I'd say my piece; icons, unit descriptions and unique voice sets are crucial to a professional looking mod. If several units share a voice set, a unit is missing some descriptions or it has a shoddy icon then it brings the feel of the entire mod down dramatically.
Love the mod and looking forward to the next release!

Er, yeah, totally agree dude. Working through them (icons and descriptions) slowly, er voices more tricky......
Got alot of the hard stuff done, now for the boring time-consuming 'polishing' :)

LOL. Not 100% sure yet, but the aim is for 3.3 end of the month/early August. I'll confirm, when I'm sure we'll hit a date.

Hmm far as my opinion on the DE, I'd go with wait and go for the Ghosto! It would be nice to put them on the same level with the other armies and lets face it a fan or not their 5th edition codex has turned them into a bit of a force to recon with. Which will add to a unique opponent to fight against. I've thought about doing some coding and all for them in my mod (one of my wife's fav armies) if I actually accomplish anything worth while, I'll be more than happy to send it over to you to use.

What I'm thinking about working on. 1)like use their soul snatch ability, but they most have like 5 to 10 souls collected to gain experience like from heros. Thats about the closet thing I could think of doing to give them more like the power from pain ability they have. 2) have them more of a hit and run fighting style, since they are raiders

And the 5th Edition codex is very good, and a nice base to work from :)
