Expansions to the original 9 races:

Faction choices for:

Chaos Legions - 9 Original Traitor Legions and Renegades
Space Marines - Remaining 6 First Founding Legions, and 3 Second Founding Legions
Eldar - 6 most famous Craftworlds
Orks - The 6 major Clans
New units and characters for all the original races.

Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hey everyone,

Just thought everyone deserved to know what's going on with the mod, since we've been rather quiet lately.

Unfortunately, about a month or two back, boothy had an accident, hence his inactiveness. Fortunately, he's made good recovery, and will return to work when ready. This should be relatively soon, but nothing is guaranteed.

Furthermore, deathwatch, our texturer, is having real life issues (the bane of modders). Therefore, we're unsure as to when he'll be back, but we doubt it will be any time soon.

Thanks very much of the continued suggestions (we'll get to work on them ASAP) and patience,

within the same race? The specific ones within the army painter are only for daemons, not for chaos marines.
I'm not 100% sure, it would imply somethings fooked in the download.
What operating system are you using?
And guessing your playing against a variety of races?

To report, I get random crashes as well within this mod, and I only had two successful games out of 6.

I play always or almost always Daemons (please improve their gameplay), if not Tyranids, Eldar, or Necrons, and the ai causing crashes to desktops would be either Blood Angels, Tau, or Adeptus Mechanicus, imo. Throughout my 6 games I didn't see any of those three factions get to tier two, and a lot of the games I have played with them are indeed imo,victims of ctd. I could be wrong though, I didn't intentionally look.

well, looks like my tau ai files were well fo-dooked. re-downloaded DOWAI and re-added the new squads, AI sims on those races you mentioned seem fine now (5 so far).
Was pretty easy to crash before that.
Stupid Tau. Sorry DoWAI for shouting at you!

I believe there's a problem with Tau, that I've had (the only time I've been able to replicate), still trying to figure that out, they are the race I've changed least.
The other races have had loads of AI sims without fail, but I will look into it more :)

going to but tau back to DOWAI 3.2 default, see if that fails, then just add back the 3 units added for Tau.

Oh wow, that is what it is then. The 3.2 is in the Codex. Did not read that portion. And as for story, I was simply referring to just having all the default races but with all these nice new units and stuff. Right now, I am able to play the story with the new units, not races, and it is pretty epic. (: Hoping this 3.2 once I get it in properly does not affect me being able to play story with these new units.
