Chaos Legions - 9 Original Traitor Legions and Renegades
Space Marines - Remaining 6 First Founding Legions, and 3 Second Founding Legions
Eldar - 6 most famous Craftworlds
Orks - The 6 major Clans
New units and characters for all the original races.


Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.
 

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hey everyone,

Just thought everyone deserved to know what's going on with the mod, since we've been rather quiet lately.

Unfortunately, about a month or two back, boothy had an accident, hence his inactiveness. Fortunately, he's made good recovery, and will return to work when ready. This should be relatively soon, but nothing is guaranteed.

Furthermore, deathwatch, our texturer, is having real life issues (the bane of modders). Therefore, we're unsure as to when he'll be back, but we doubt it will be any time soon.

Thanks very much of the continued suggestions (we'll get to work on them ASAP) and patience,

First of all, on the topic of the Deathwatch. They have the lovely pauldrons of said organisation, but didn't the Inquisition Daemonhunt mod team make up the Deathwatch veterans with embossed pauldrons and specialised bolters? If so! Do you think they would let you use them in conjunction with the current, amazing textures? (This is, I believe, a modified version of said pauldrons I904.photobucket.com)

Two! Are you ever going to add the good old stalwart Arbites from the Witch Hunters mod? If so, will they be inquisitorial henchmen or generally available to all Imperial factions as a cheap line unit?

Third, are you going to be adding more flier units? Thunderhawks, Valkyries, Thunderbolts, Chin-orks..? Anything like that?

Fourth, what other units are you going to be adding, might I ask? Thunderfire cannons? More titans? Possibly some of the troops from the Dark Prophesy mod (beastmen, daemon princes, ect)?

And! Are you going to be adopting any doctrine systems for the Imperial Guard like you did with the Space Marines chapters, Chaos Marine Legions, ect. Some examples might be, I dunno, Armoured, Infantry, Airborne, or maybe different regimental types if you ever make them (Krieg, Catachan, Mordian, ect). That'd be real nice to see.

And can I ask what the Adeptus Mechanicus is getting next?

I wish I knew how to mod 'n' such. Ah, well. If I could help in any way, I would, but it's still a great mod. Hope you could use some of these suggestions! ..Somehow..

the deathwatch model you are talking about has no random shoulder pads has one only and the models we are using I modified to have up to 8 or 10 chapters and I am in the process of learning how to add parts so down the road they will have what you are looking for Cheers!

and it only has that weapon loadout, no upgrades, or assault variant blah blah. They were actually in the mod in the early days, but not very workable.

Hope you can, 'cause it's really aggravating for my army to be completely decimated by a unit with a blast radius so wide that as soon as it's in view I'm inside of it...

I wouldn't suggest a change on the ai stop spamming these things, more or less give them a different strategy and make them blow up relatively easy in ranged and melee.

I really love the dark eldars coz they got so many tactical advance for example heavy fighters,shock troops,fast attack and more =D
Also I want to see the harlequins,genestealer cult,harakoni warhawks,world eaters,death korps of krieg(its diffrent from sl mod just search on the net for that mod),WH mod in the new races(be not combine with sisters coz relic sisters cooler too =D).Thanks for now. =P For more race ideas,plz look to the dawn of coalscene mod. =D

Yes, for both. However, if playing multiplayer, the other player(s) have to be running exactly the same version of the mod.
