New units and characters for all the original races.


Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since any news was released, and there has been a good reason for that: frankly, there has not been any.

However, I can now reveal that work has been resumed, although at a slow pace. Deathwatch78 has generously found time in his busy schedule to give some time to modding, and will therefore be working on new eye candy for the next version. This also means anything which did not make it into 3.5 will be in the next version. On the other hand, the gameplay element is still on hold due to the absence of boothy_p.

Er, been talked/thought/debated around that for ages. If I get better and think of a good way of coding it, defo possibly as a game rule, but never to the extent UA is. Not here to step on their toes, but maybe a little bigger things

Got some bugs. Chaos Dreadnoughts have a bad model and Defilers had that weird purple-y bad FX thing when they go in to fight. Circumstances listed below.

Player- Blood Angels
AI- Chaos (Tzeentch)
Map- Deadman's Crossing

Win Conditions- Apocalypse, AI Highspeed, Annihilate, Hardcore, Massive Battles, Allow Allies, Sisters Allies, Guardsmen Allies, Space Marine Allies, Take and Hold, Timer

In case it matters, I did tack on Tyranids and Black Templars to the mod.

Chaos Dreadnoughts also have a bad model in the Army Painter.

Can someone confirm this?

I can't replicate that, so anybody who's downloaded able to answer? Might be the download.
With detail like that reported, if you fancy doing any testing for the mod, just say dude :)

I'll think about it and let you know after school starts back up if I want to be a play tester (plus I thought everyone was a play tester at this stage).

Just to clarify, if anyone is unfamiliar with the term. A blank is a person who is not only uneffected by psychic attack, but is able to nullify the psychic power of those around him.

A blank could be recruited as an individual to attach to a squad to protect them from Librarian, Chaos Sorceror, Farseer, etc.. attacks.

Or perhaps recruited as part of an Inquisitor's entourage.

The only drawback using this type of character is that he could also supress the psychic attacks his squad is attempting to execute.

Use the blank wisely...
