New units and characters for all the original races.


Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.6 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.6)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

OK, so 3.6(beta) is out........
It was a bit of a rush job, with most of the changes done over the last week, but they seemed to all work OK, so just drop me a message if anythings wrong (except descriptions :) )

A few things to note though:

"Allow Allies" needs to be activated to get the allies buildings in the advanced build menu.

"Allow Titans" is gone as a win condition.

"Escalation" allows titans, and bumps the pop cap up 50%.

"Apocalypse" allows titans, and bumps the pop cap up 100%.

(Don't use the 2 together - you'll get a SCAR error)

I don't know what's next, there's a massive list (well, there isn't actually, but a lot of ideas).No new full races though for now, the current lot still need work, and it takes to long to build a race for my free time at present.

New Allies though - defo!

Anyway, I hope the downloads work OK, get annoying when they get screwed up..........

These were the wc settings i had: AImapDB, apocalypse, annihilate, game timer, heroes, massive battle, no more fog, allow titan, fortress(broken as told), softcore and AImapDB(again?).

You can only have apocalypse OR massive battles, not both. Also it's probably best to only tick one AImapDB :P

don't use either of the AImapDBs (or any of the AI ones), they are all coming out, play on hard, the AI's been completely re-written so not needed.

Hmm..try it with both, but if that doesn't work then it's just a lucky guess :P There might not be any difference, though.

Possbily, I think it's more likely that it will just be removed, though, sorry.

apocalypse works and is the largest of the 2, just don't mix it with massive battles, or use the AI... win conditions!!

Boothy, finding an ally for the Necrons is really hard, but perhaps this may work. I remember reading somewhere that the Eldar used some sort of tech to keep the Necrons asleep on a certian planet.

What if another planets core contained an unnoticed Necron monolith. Over the years, the energy in the sleeping monolith and the living metal under ground contaminated the planet, slowly corrupting the population and the PDF forces there.

You could have an army of civilans, PDF Conscripts, armor, and Adaptus Mechanicus all under Necron control... millions of glowing green eyes and skin can be seen from orbit...

The only way you make bacon better is adding more bacon!

Bumbles actually has a point here, the necrons are a one of a kind killer race, this is hard.

Could they fuse their collective thought with the Adapetus Mechanicus machine spirit?

Or perhaps conjoin their living medal to the claws and exoskeletons of the Tyranids?
