Expansions to the original 9 races:

Faction choices for:

Chaos Legions - 9 Original Traitor Legions and Renegades
Space Marines - Remaining 6 First Founding Legions, and 3 Second Founding Legions
Eldar - 6 most famous Craftworlds
Orks - The 6 major Clans
New units and characters for all the original races.


Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hi Everyone!

Remember me? Well I hope you do anyway :)
Sorry I've been away for a while, personal and boring reasons, blah, blah, blah......

Now, for the good news, the mod isn't dead, and there will be a 3.6 release (at least), later in the year.
Now, 3.6 ain't going to be massive, maybe a couple of new units, but mainly focused on bug fixes and balance amendments (bomb squigs - I know, already done).

As for the future beyond that, not sure TBH. I don't have as much time to dedicate, but will try and focus on a few things:
Allies - Games Workshop has created a number of new "races", which are perfect for allied detachments.
Character - Making the existing races fit the fluff.
Fixes, and polishing - Deamons and Ad Mech need fleshing out etc.

Jamming more units in ain't a focus, but if somethings good, it'll go in. There are over a 1300 entities in the mod already, so only stuff that adds to the character of the race will be considered.

Need to see where the rest of the team is at, and what peeps are open to doing.....

This isn't really a question to ask here, But, any time i try extracting, i can't get further than "Data/art/ebps/Races/Dark__Angels/Force_commander_default.wtp" Because that file is corrupt, i don't know how to fix it, but this mod looks Kickass, and i really want to get it.

Try disabling User Account Control, if you're running Win Vista/7.

To do this:
1.Go to 'Start'
2.Click on your user icon
3.'Change User Account Control Settings'
4.Drag the bar to the bottom
5.Click 'OK'
6.Restart PC.

Then delete anything that's already been extracted to the SS directory, then re-extract parts 1,2 and 3 at the same time :)

Oh and also make sure you're using WinZIP/RAR, there can be problems with other programs. :) Hope this helps.
