8 new races, new units and features for the original 9 races. With the mission to bring all races to Dawn of War, in the style of their Codex, drawing inspiration from the Table Top Game. The complete collection of the Codex Mod to date.
This may look like a boring image. But the two races are on the same side.
Not 2 players allied, 1 player, race Necrons, with Tau Allies.
A number of available choices per race, take one ally, use the benefits of 2 races in 1 army. All works so far, upgrades, reinforce etc....
waz up! great work
It's a great start, except for the choice of the races.
Of course, it's not my mod, so I have no say in this.
Good work anyway!
I agree, looking at 3-8 ally choices per main race
The problem of course being the necrons want to kill everyone so to have them ally with anyone would make no sense. Space marines and guard allying or guard and tau make sense (or the classic guard and eldar from winter assault).
No, they don't.
Just read the latest Necron codex.
Written by Matt Ward?
Yep which is why it can safely be used as really expensive toilet paper. Jones, read my reply to bsgodlike's comment in which I do share a hilarious piece of the Blood Angels codex in which they teamed with the genocidal robots to stop the tyranids.
I remember reading something about Space Marines and Necrons fighting together against Tyranids.
Lol I need a source to believe that.
That was written by Matt Ward so it doesn't count.
Page 16, Blood Angels codex
"Dante and 3rd Company vs. Silent King Necron Forces
They are stale mated and Dante's tactical brilliance is stretched to its limits
Then the Tyranids come and "force the armies to break off hostilities and fight the common foe"
After the final battle Dante and The Silent King both go their separate ways knowing that both their forces are horribly depleted and fighting would be horrendous for both sides.
Dante finds killing his impromptu allies distasteful."
that's it. my bad. :|
Necrons wouldn't care about that at all, even if they allied themselves with Space marines to destroy Tyranids (which of course they wouldn't... EVER) they'd descend upon the Space marines as soon as the fighting with the Nids had ceased.
And why would any loyal servant of the Imperium find it distasteful to destroy Xenos filth such as Necrons? -- Quote: "Dante finds killing his impromptu allies distasteful"
Great work man cant wait to use guard and sm together!
For fluff sake necrons do have mindshackle scarabs to brainwash the little blue boys in being their slave soldiers.
You wouldn't believe the amount of work that goes into getting this to work and have them play sensibly.
It's based (roughly) on the 6th edition allies matrix for who gets who as allies, except where I think certain things are completely stupid/missed.
If I remember right, Tyranids can be allies with..
..Tyranids! :O
correct dude. Nids will get nothing. Thinking about BTs....
Well, i never done this before but in the 3 player Fortess map - My Black Templars entered with a handshake deal ( ha ha ha !) with the Necrons and almost blew up my comp smashing those dastardly Tyranids!!! If anything! and if anything! - The Dark Eldars should have the ability to control those Tyranids & use them against any other races! Kool idea, eh?
Interesting... Perhaps a Chaos Sorcerer controlling the Tyranids...
I would love to see Chaos possess the Orcs... The Orcs are as old as the C'tan and are mystic. The forces of Chaos would control legions of "Black Orcs"... The Chaos Gods could pervert and bend the will of the souls of the acient Ork Shamans and sorceres...
I say, leave the Necrons alone. Perhaps a rogue inquisitor could use Necron tech on the sly to help Imperial Guard fight the technology of the Tau, but thats about it... The Necron are lone wolves.
All of this ally business is optional right? I really dislike the idea of it personally. I'm happy so long as it's all optional.
Then my friend, we are all happy!
Yeah dude, going to be optional. Know it'll divide people opinion and some won't like it. Be 1 win condition to turn on for everyone
