Before the newly appointed president was sworn in, which had promised to hunt down the corrupt members of the previous governmentt, a former top official said to have been involved in high profile corruption and spy schemes for foreign world powers flees the country. Bypassing airport security and customs, the ex agent was able to leave the Republic of Peru with destiny unknown. A few days later, it is discovered that top secret government documents stored in a hard drive have been stolen. No security protocols had been altered, which indicated an inside job. The ex official HD been placed under the supervision of an appointed foreign agency before fleeing, so they wanted to cooperate fully. Apparently the documents had been placed inside ancient objects flown overseas with the excuse of showing Peru's cultural heritage to the world.
