In year 2047, the alien crystal element - commonly known as "Tiberium" - began blanketing the Earth. As war continued over the past century between the European Union (EU) and the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC), Tiberium fields continued to grow, changing the course of Nature forever.
The year is now 2142, and the dawn of a new Ice Age has thrown the world into a panic - a global threat that nobody has ever expected. In "Command & Conquer 2142", the two military superpowers will collide - in an epic battle for the last habitable lands.
The math of this war is simple: Some will live, most will die.
First of all, we really want to thank all of you who voted for us in Moddb 09 awards - having been underground for so long, we never expected all of your feedback to be so positive - THANK YOU! :)
We should definately try again next year!
We hope 2010's been treating all of you nicely! The cnc2142 team has been working hard, and today we are so happy to tell you that we're almost done with all EU vehicles, and more than halfway done with the PAC ones. As scrawny awesome as I am XD, I've recently released 2 in-game screenshots of CNC2142 - so if you've missed that, you ought to check it out and tell us what you feel about the models!!! Once we're done with the vehicles, we will try our best to put in a few BF2142 structures for visuals tweaking. If things go according to plan, our internal build should be quite ready for tuning into a public release soon!
Yeh, you heard me right. PUBBBBBBBLIC! :P More details on that will be available soon, but until then, we want your feedback! We would like to know which BF2142 map is your ALL TIME FAVOURITE!! Have one in mind? Post it in the comments section!! We would appreciate your feedback - it's all for the public release ;D
Well, thats about it for today's update - we'll be checking in again soon, take care! :)
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Command & Conquer 2142. We love games like C&C3: Tiberium Wars that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
