Okkkkk, now another people outside China thought he can make fun with that picture.
I am a Chinese and I told you this is not funny to us, will I am not being mad but you guys really need to know what truth looks like from the other side.
That picture is famous, and it is true, but the point is what happend next, that man clumb on that tank's turret and try to open it by force. And yes that whole tank colume did stop their advance since that man step up, because unwilling to harm him but not as if they can't. I know you read some **** like "a weak in body but strong in willing" or "freedom fighter" or some sweety stuff from that picture, but to us those are not students but just rebals.
The PLA was asked to peacify the situation because police is not enough, since those "students" are planning to assault the central government building and refuse to back down, and even so the PLA is clearly ordered not to took any shoot. Instead, those "students" didn't hisatite to assault the PLA, and make many criminal upon the PLA, many soilders are killed or burned alive but they still follow order and don't fight back(those all have proves as photos).
PLA, those soilders there tried their best to not bring a bloody fight upon their own people,expecially they are educated students, do you understand? It is those "students" who decide to make blood of their own people. The government even provide them shelters and clothes in order to keep them warm at night, and even after that **** most of those "students" are released to their homes instead of kept in prision. And those who started this **** has escaped to USA long before BeiJing can bring them justice trail,instead at the moment they already escaped China ,clearly founded and planned by someone, or some country.
Just use you brain, since when a student that never entered social affair is so clear of what their country should be, even better than those who just fight so hard and build the country for them? And since when the government means no harm is reasonably to make people violence? It is not the government that being a problem, it is those "students" not in their mind.
For us this is a painful picture, because it reminds us that though people are educated, they may extremally out of their mind afterall, and **** it they really did.

Also, it's fine to joke about absolutely everything. Especially when it's not the Tiananmen square incident that's being mocked, but Chinese government censorship, using it as a vehicle to do so.
Nah, you don't need to argue with those guys. I can tell you, as a Chinese, that quite a lot (if not major) of Chinese people are so easy to be offended. It is partly because our dark history since 1800s, and partly because the culture and education. Can't blame them. I would say it is their freedom to see the world anyway they intended to see, be weak and vulnerable to be offended (we call that "glass heart", by the way) or choose not to play this fantastic game, and it is your freedom to make this mod whatever you want. You have nothing to lose, and they can not be persuaded anyway.

There is no offical words about this, maybe it is the point though, that government can't really put so much people in prision, expectally many of them are students. The country still need those educated people. Maybe the government don't want them to be further privatly punished by other civilian.
You think what I say is from the government propaganda? No, in fact one teacher in my highschool attended that ****, and government has his personal record marked so he can't promote to higher rank of teacher career, and so unless it is someone related to his career or he want to tell himself, nobody will know. He told my parents how he is fooled by those student leaders.
And just think of it, did you country's tank column will stop and do nothing because you step on their way? Will they stand still if you pop up on their turret and try to open it? I told you when the PLA open fire, it was already became a reballion, those "students" kill soilders and grab their guns! Do you think any government would allow that?
