I'm going to experiment with a Tumblr account for FOXTec Mods, please note, it's still early in the experiment.

What I meant was that EALA wanted to make another Red alert game when developing C&C3. They didn't want to continue off of Tiberian Sun's path so they didn't. Everything about Tiberium Wars screams Red alert 2.
You say that they have different playing styles. Tiberian Sun did with their ideas of eliminating the rush, that's for sure. EALA didn't like those ideas so they referenced Red alert 2 and probably Generals and Starcraft so that's not really a valid point for making this mod. Why not just make infantry stronger and call it a day? Every strategy in RA2 is in fact in C&C3. TS strategies on the other hand aren't.
So what I was wondering was what exactly are you going to do? Make infantry strong like in RA2 and move other things around like the wormhole for a chronosphere? Maybe use the ion storms which look like RA2 weather storms as the allied super weapon? Or how about put the SCRIN carrier in the water, lol? Maybe use scrin blink pack as a chrono infantry? I could go on and on... TW is more RA2 than TS and that's just a fact. There may be things like transports and emp weapons but they by no means make it more Tiberian Sun gameplay wise.
RA2 was a very well polished game with a still big community playing it. why revisit it this soon and why bother when the game your modding was built off of its ideas anyway? Bad idea and a waste of time if you ask me. But if you like modding then hell okay, lol.
Nice renders, anyway I hope you'll show us some textured ones soon :)
Sorry for the double post, but on second thought...your renders look even better!
But please make sure that you don't mess up with the textures, some previous RA2 mods had good models but their textures looked like utter crap, it made the models look like plastic.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this mod :)
There was another RA2 mod for C&C Generals that died, they've put all their finished models up for download but I can't seem to find the link anymore (no worries, I still have them on my HDD). Anyway, they said that anyone who wants to use them is free to do so, this is their Moddb.com profile:

Perhaps you could PM them and ask if you can still use their models for your mod? They remain some of the best RA2 models out their, even though your models overlap some of theirs, they still have a large number of buildings and vehicles that you haven't made yet. So it could cut down on the development process if you'd use (some of) their models :)
If you need me to send you the models then just PM me, but you'll have to give them credit for those models obviously.

Would you be able (gods know how) to put cut scenes in. Maybe cut some out of ra2 and yr?

And i don't see it as wasteing my time.
C&C3 is basically RA3 with a Tiberium theme. Why waste your time?
1: They're unskined renders
2: There's no mod SDK for C&C3 yet, and unlike Generals, C&C3's files are all encoded.
Models look really nice, but textures need more work.
Anyway, keep up the good work, and show us some ingame screenies soon :)
