Cloned Cube is a Portal mod. It takes place after GLaDOS' fall in Portal. You assume the role of Chell's secret clone. You have to escape or else you may just be tested to death. There is one obstacle. CUBiS is trying to kill you.
A fixed installer package for Cloned Cube Alpha .2 that will hopefully work this time instead of corrupting.
Please report any bugs about this release to the Cloned Cube Discussion Threads.
Hi everyone. I realize that when I released Cloned Cube Alpha .2, a lot of people had troubles with corrupted files and some missed out on Cloned Cube which is a real shame. Well, now I created an installer for Cloned Cube Alpha .2 that is easier to install than the original 7-zip file and will not corrupt.
Just extract the .7z file this time and open the alpha2.msi file.
After that, the installer will guide you through the update and you'll be able to launch Cloned Cube after restarting Steam.
Again, I'm sorry about the broken update last time and I hope that this fixes it up now.
It would be better to say "Aperture Science - Clone Training Center"
or something similar
That was the worst demo I have ever played. Not only where the textures misaligned, nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING, was clear. I had absolutely NO IDEA what I was supposed to do, at all! Rooms where catching on fire, you could shoot through a piece of glass, blah blah blah IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Even my dear friend noclip didn't help, it seems like the few tests you actually released were severely broken, the cube droppers didn't drop the cubes you needed to solve the test, the buttons didn't do anything when you stood on them- or put cubes on them. The voice acting was horrendous and the "training" was longer than the actual demo- and it was broken so there was no exit. I mean this demo was so bad it was BRUTAL!
I'm really sorry to hear that. However this is a very OLD version of the mod. Still, though I realize that what may seem clear to me, the designer, may not be clear to the community. Your feedback is essential to the mod and I really wish there were more people like you who provided detailed feedback like that.
I never noticed any issues with the cubes and droppers when I was designing the mod but I'll look into that.
