Basically, you've seen city17, well city18 is right next door, however it's still in the process of being taken over by the combine. Unlike 17, it's the humans that have the upperhand, im not quite sure weather I want to go the route of opposing forces yet and make you play from the combine's pov, or if I should actually put my modelling skills to some use and make a new character for you to control.
I plan to make the mod similar to the feel of the hl2 city17/canals/sewers look and feel, but hopefully with it's own twist. The mod will primarily be in the city, but i probably will venture into making some scenery based maps (aka, outskirts or something). Ideas are still jumbling, if you have any ideas to help me along, drop me an email with them.
A probable idea: Game opens with you getting shipped in, you check in w/ the checkpoint and go on into the main base, this is City18, the next target on the combine's hitlist, but it's the civs that have the upperhand. They've put together a militia with rank and all of it, and you're their newest reqruit. So you're pratrolling one day, and notice something strange, the combine have snuck past the defences and only you can stop them.
As you progress through the game, you'll gain rank by completing game objectives, the higher the rank, the more people you control. Npcs with higher rank will give you orders, and you can control lower-ranked ones.
If i get the time, ill whip up a custom player model and add a few mirrors here and there for fun...

please this mod looks really promising the last mod i wanted to beta test for was Opposing Shepard (unnoficial sequel to opposing force) but it got shut down. honestly i really think it looks great so if i could be abord the beta testing team i would really like it.
You can never go wrong with making new models. New weapons are always a big big plus also! I'll be looking forward to see what you come up with. :-)
